Bluelight Singles - Installment XIX - "I don't give two shits about your love life!"

Here's a spin out for you people!
Unexpetedly I'm single again. :(
Why? Well to tell you the truth I really don't know? I came home from work today to find all of my SO's stuff out of the house, then he comes home and tells me that he doesn't love me, and that this is better for both of us, after he was away for a week and a half doing one of those Pheonix self help courses. (maybe some people here will know what that is)
How do I feel? Like my life has been stolen from me! Brainwashing is a powerful tool people, just remember that!
What am I going to do? Hopefully get the fuck out of Melbourne for a few days and have a real good think about what's going to happen next, maybe sit on the beach and reflect on a few things, maybe I'll figure something out, maybe this will be what makes me quit my job???
Thankyou to everyone who I've spoken to so far, your support and help has been a great help, and without you guys I probably would have jumped over a bridge by now.
My mobile will be on if anyone wants to call me so yeah don't be shy, I guess I need people to talk to even though I'm going away for a bit.

I think this ties in with the whole "people becoming more attractive to you over time". I make snap decisions on my gut instinct after meeting a person and I've rarely been wrong, I usually get suckered in when I ignore my gut instinct, which I have done heaps over the past few years.
*shrug* it's not like I size up their datability, more as if i either like this person, or i don't. I rarely view people from the perspective of "would i like to date him" on first meeting.

I agree with Psychokitten on this one, I pick up on the "vibe" of a person in the few brief moments I meet them, and it sure as hell has worked quite well so far.
All the people whom I've felt like "woah" when I've first met them have either turned out to be very excellent friends, very cool partners, or very potential significant others.
Listen to your instincts, baby.

Some random person i often quote once said that "there's nothing so powerful as an idea whose time has come," but damnit if the best and biggest things in life don't come without enormous effort...

Im still here, and still single, after 6 months of no sign of love, the horizon is looking better!

Ive changed my status from single and not looking to singleand SEMI looking ;)
If that makes any sense at all, I think i pretty much stopped my casual sex relatinship aswell... i havent actually said it to him ywet, i just stopped going over, its been a month!

Im telling you what, a fuckin singles meetup would do everyone some good. Here are some reasons why:
a) We put faces to names
b) Its blatently obvious everyone would like at least the chance to hook up ;)
c) Its a chance to get outside, away from the comp
d) Meet people with similar probs
Seriously...someone organise something, whining on a message board is just fuckin lame and is never going to lead to nothing! (Sorry for being a bit harsh) :)

A singles meet up would be good, but improbable i'm guessing, because there are so many people in Melb and Syd and everywhere else... it's not like we live in Switzerland where everything is convenient and close... :\

Hey yeah...a singles meetup!
I know... i'll take the time to gather and compile everyones details, inc. contact information then i'll setup a 1300/1800 number....then i'll charge people about $5/min to use the service to contact each other and organise to meetup...yeah now that's a winner!
Oh wait...it's already been done...oooooh!
