Blowmonkeys backyard bushes '06

People usually throw them away because they're afraid their grow might get pollinated and end up with lot's of seeds in the weed, I'm not because it's the only plant that's flowering. The herm hasn't been growing any more balls, it's well on it's way to produce some nice buds as well, looks to be in it's 3rd week of flowering or something, I haven't really been paying attention to how long ago it was.

I've transplanted nearly all of the plants into their final spots now, hopefully they'll like it. I'll take some pics tomorrow.

excelent news, i anticapate seeing them

i topped one of my plants to gain a cutting (not for the purpose of topping) yesterday, seems ok

^You didn't want to take a cutting from a sidebranch?

Moving along nicely, blow. The whorled one certainly looks bushier than the others, but it might be the angle, how does it look compared to the others in real life? It's hard to tell from the pic, but it looks like an apical meristem has emerged, is that the case?

I don't know what that is, but it's growing normally now. :D It's a bit taller than the other two, a bit less bushier actually, it's the angle the shot was taken at. But it's a very nice phenotype, I just wish the buds from it were a little bit more potent and tastier.

1-5: OB's. The first one is from pheno #1, the others are from pheno #2. The first one unfortunately is a male, the rest are all females, but I probably said that already.

6-10: All PP's. First one has been topped twice, second one has been topped once, the third one was flowering already but has recovered and is back in vegetative stage, the 4th one is not really taking off in that big container of soil, the soil is probably packed too tight together, so I have to take care of that in the coming days, the last one is the biggest of them all, so big that I can't really take a clear pic of it.

11-12: Clones from OB #2 and from a bunch of purples. The first one in the toilet is from the biggest purple, the little ones on the other pic are from OB #2, the other 2 are purples.

Yeah, it helps somewhat, but there's already a whole bunch of worms in there, I just need to mix some more fibers in there. So I'm thinking about digging the plant up again and throwing in a bunch of new potting soil or cocopeat to aerate the soil.

just a thought but couldn't you shove a garden fork in, wiggle it around, and get sand into the holes it makes in the soil?

kinda like when you aerate a lawn, the worms will work the sand through the whole of the soil makeing the whole thing less ocmpact and better aerated and draining

Took some pictures again.

First the clones I've cut just a few days ago, then the clones I've taken a while ago with a seedling I've germinated a coupe of days ago and the clone in the toilet.

Here's the OB's. From 12 litre, to 15, to 30, to the group pic.

Here's the PP's. First off is the PP that's regenerating, going pretty well, still producing a lot of 3 fingered leaves though. Then the PP in the container, finally improving a little, nice new growth, responding well to the tying down. Then the biggest plant of them all. And the PP which has been topped twice, then 2 pics of the PP which has been topped once. And then a group pic from above and a pic from the PP which I've been force flowering, 5 weeks along or something.

The stuff has grown quite a bit again, ofcourse that's not really a surprise with the nice weather we've been having lately, couple of weeks around the 25 and a small week over 30. Today has been the first day of heavy winds again, absolute torture.. I come outside to check up on the plants and I find 3 of them blown over, severely tilting towards one side. I've fixed it somewhat, by tying them down, but the biggest one is still having some problems, it just catches a fuckload of wind because of it's size and width, it's already enormous and we're still having at least a month of vegetative stage, can't imagine how big it'll end up, but also don't want to imagine the problems I'm going to have trying to keep them upright by the time they're in full flower and when we'll have even stronger winds, that's going to be tricky.

Anyways, I'll take some pictures one of these days, probably tomorrow or something.

well bugger me sideways i found some bagseed lodged in a park bench i know stoners use, 5 of them, 1 regular sized 4 small, the big one germinated in paper toweling, but i went away for 3 days and somehow the bag had opened and the other 4 seeds dried out. its growing nicely, got a good large set of 1st true leaves

i would have thought them hemp seed left by fishermen but the size differences, not like stadard hempseeds, plus i know stoners use that bench

and man, we've ben having wind and storms here for a couple of weeks... damn you

the plants growth has slowed a bit due to the shoddy light, and humidity, plus dryness (we have wierd weather here)

Here's the pics I promised:

The PP-toilet-clone, grown quite a bit the last few weeks.

The 5 OB clones with on the left a little bit of PP clone, the OB's are going inside to flower when they're tall enough and when the heat is less.

One of the OB's from pheno #2, the bushiest of the 3 even though you can't really tell from the picture. Still in 30 litres, eventually goes in 50 litres.
391e4c24.jpg

Another one of the OB's. This was the weird one with the whorled phyllotaxy, now the biggest of the 3, will go into a 30 litre pot and I'll probably force flower this plant. Reasons are cause then I won't have to manicure everything all at once and the buds are just too dense to let them go with the crappy weather we'll be having during natural flowering time.

The PP which has been flowering on early, has been blown over day before yesterday, pulled it back up and tied it down. Has become quite big already, still wondering if it will produce something smokeworthy though.

Another one of those unclear pictures of the plant in the big container. Pretty big plant as well, well above 2 metres.
00edbe73.jpg

Here's the biggest plant together with a friend of mine to put things in perspective. My friend is 1.80, so the plant is well over 2 and a half metres, almost 3. She's been blown over as well, but also tied her down today, she's fine now.
4dff0326.jpg

Here's the PP which has been topped twice, grown very bushy. Had some trouble with the wind as well, not anymore, jammed a pole in the ground and tied her down to it.
a6274a7e.jpg

The last PP, has been topped once, grown pretty bushy as well, very short internodes compared to all the other PP's, so she'll probably end up as my seed mother, either this one or the other topped PP. First I'll have to see if one of them turns purple, I want the purple genetics to survive, would be a bit weird if a "purple power" doesn't turn purple.

Dude, get those plants some light, they're stretching like hell.

Meanwhile, My biggest plant has got a problem as well, looks like either a potassium deficiency or a ph problem, the roots have gotten to the surrounding soil which is white sand with I don't know what kind of crapola, same problem the plant last year had when it was standing in that same place. Anyways, who cares, I won't bother with the big girl anymore, she's a lost cause. Might give her some nutes every once in a while but that's it. Here's a pic of the problem, it's almost all over the plant.

But oh well, here's the other pictures. First the clones again. I put the 3 somewhat older OB's in 12 litre pots, actually wanted to wait a little longer to put them in these pots, but they really needed a transplant. Hope they won't grow as quickly anymore, they still have to go inside to the growbox, what really is imposibble with this extremely hot shit weather.

Here's the other 2 OB clones, grown quite a bit already, almost catching up on the other 3 OB's. In between the 2 OB's is a little PP clone.
ddb163d6.jpg

And here the other PP clones, small week ago they were transferred to 7 litre pots. The one on the left has a great stature, the other has become a weird stalky thing.

Then the toilet clone. Thing grows fast as hell. Thought it would be wise to dig a hole beneath the toilet and fill it with lot's of potting soil, gives the roots a little extra space, which I think they really are in need of.

This is one of the OB's. Only put one of them on here because the camera was full, was too lazy to make additional pictures. The one that's not on the picture has been transplanted form the 15 litre pot to a 30 litre one, which is also going to be force flowerd one of these days. The OB you see here will be transplanted into a 50 litre pot pretty soon.

This is the PP which has been flowering for a good 2 weeks a while ago, fully recovered now. Has gotten amazingly bushy, has grown well above the 2.50 now, has (almost) the same height as the biggest plant that's having those problems atm.
e06f0aca.jpg

The PP which has been topped twice. Not the biggest in height (even though it's well over 2 metres), but one of the biggest when it comes to width, gotten real busy. Almost didn't get it on the pic.
624c2a09.jpg

Then the PP which has been topped once, not the biggest either (also over the 2 metres), but extremely bushy, even more so than the others, due to the short internodal growth.
0bc9a3f8.jpg

There's 3 plants still missing on the pics, but they will come next time. The one in the container doesn't want to get on a pic anyways, those pics all end up shitty and the biggest one isn't really worth taking a pic of anymore, maybe the trunk is, the size of a baseball bat, pretty enormous.

I think you need to change the name of this thread to "Blowmonkey's backyard trees"

They're past being bushes :)
