edit:read the old grow log, so there is ruderalis in there? my suspcions were confirmed. so heres the question, is that a strain characteristic or was it bred in by your friend you got ht eseeds from?

Something the breeder femaleseeds crossed in the purple powers to reduce flowering time or something to that effect. The seeds from my friend were the OB's.

on a similar note, i just got some OB seeds, 5 of them

i decided to presoak them in water for 24 hours then plant them out... but yeah, in 24 hours all 5 had already sprouted underwater

planted them out into diddy pots, i should (provided is keep these safe from slugs) end up with 8 plants (the 9th being an early california plant that my friend has just put under and HPS plam indoors to flower)

so that should allow for a fair few females

This thread makes me want to grow weed myself.. Even though I don't smoke that regularly anymore. I know that if I've got weed lying around, I'm compelled to smoke it
I also like how you grow without any fertilizers - do you do this for the weed quality or because of monetary reasons?

Nah, mainly because I've found out that adding ferts isn't really necessary, it's really a waste of money if you feed them so early on, plenty of nutes available in the ground. And you always risk over ferting them, which I certainly don't want to do, I did that on my second indoor grow and results were pretty bad. But speaking of the devil, I've bought some cow manure which I've added to the soil in a couple of pots, I re-potted 5 plants today, they were in need of some fresh soil and nutes.

From the latest pics I posted, number 3 went into the container with approximately 800 litres of soil. 7 & 8 went into 30 litre pots and number 6 & 9 both went into 12 litre pots.

Number 10, the big male which I thought was a female, is actually a hermaphrodite. That plant is driving me crazy, I think it does it on purpose, just to fuck with my head. And the plant which I've put in the full ground, number 4, definitely looks like it's in the first week of flowering, white hairs everywhere. I'm not liking it, but what can you do about it..? Let's hope it'll produce some nice buds and not go back into veg again, that will really fuck it up bad.

well none of my plants look even close to flowering... in fact they're also not a patch on the size of yours

plus i can't upload pics... becasue the only digital camera i have is my phone... which is being a jerk and not letting me send mms, it has no bluetooth and no link to the PC

blow puts me to shame, mine just never really got round to growing... sitll only got 5 pairs of leaves each for some reason.

actualyl the reasons pretty clear cut, jsut when the weather got right for them to start growing fast, which they did, it turned sour so they essentially stopped all t he growing business

i did add ferts a couple of times, but its not really a problem here, the soil in my garden is (as this is a market town, we live just by the market area, formerly for livestock) just downhill fromt eh old cattle holding pens and abatoires, about 700-800 years worth of well rotted manure, and hence incredibly rich

i gave up on the ferts

Time for a quick update. Instead of that big girl, number 3 from the latest pics, I've put number 2 in the container full of soil. That other plant looked like shit in there, it went up, didn't have any width, number 2 does. So I decided to put the big girl in another hole in the ground, chucked 2 40 litre bags, another 40 litres or so out of the container and some cow manure in the hole and put her in there..

1) The big girl I was talking about, not really a clear picture due to the green contrast in the back.
2) Another pic of her, together with a little bit of another PP.
3) Number 2 from the latest pics I posted, went into the big container of soil, trained a couple of branches so she'll fill out more, she's supposed to cover the entire container, already well on her way.
4) OB #1, transplanted her into a 30 litre pot, going into 50 litres if it's a girl.
5) On the left the PP which hasn't been sexed yet, now standing in a 15 litre pot, topped once, on the right a female PP, been topped twice, still in her 12 litre pot.
6) The two female OB's from pheno #2.
7) All three OB's from pheno #2, all in 12 litre pots now. Pretty uniform strain as you probably can see.

i actually added ferts again as i happened to have a bucket of comfrey fert lying around... it reminded me of rasperry fruit tea in colour, smelt foul though

i'm a fishkeeper as well as a pot grower, so just with equipment lying around i have set up a mini starter grow room to put the new babies in under 24/0 lights

its not a good light (12" 8w gro-lux) but it should do jsut for a boost to start them off i think

its in a little chest in my room that is covered with stuff (deals with light leaks) and noone ever goes into

edit: oh by the way, you still got that little plant with the whorled phalotoxy?

Thanks. I hope the weather will finally improve over the coming days, it seems it's been shitty here forever almost, the plants could've grown so much more in the last few weeks.

Couple of clones I've taken have rooted well, some haven't, including the clones from the plants which haven't showed sex yet, real bummer, as that was pretty much the purpose of taking the clones, to determine sex. Oh well, at least I've got a couple of extra plants now.

those plants are really starting to look good and it sucks you're having such shitty weather. weather here in cali has been HOT (96F today). keep up the good work though.

Well shit, 31 degrees overhere, I'm frying my ass off, even inside. The plants are loving it though, these last 3 days they've grown more than in the last 3 weeks.

First 4 pics are of the OB's, the rest is of the PP's, the last pic is of 2 clones, the little one from an OB pheno #2, the one in the first pic above (I've got 6 of those in total), the other is a clone taken from the biggest PP.

That's the plant in the second pic. It's not so little anymore. It catched up pretty fast.

I should probably also mention that I'm now force flowering the hermaphrodite (not on these pics) by bringing it into the shed at 6AM, it was beginning to flower and I didn't want it to go back into veg, can't stop the one in the full ground though, so that one's going to look weird pretty soon. Hopefully I'll have some pot in 5-6 weeks from that hermie, stash from last year is almost gone.
