Blotter test results from ecstasydata.org

Figured I'd chime in and give my 2c:

With regards to why someone might be happy to accept that say a 25I-NBOMe blotter has 800ug on it, while not that an LSD blotter has 200ug on it - there's a simple explanation for that. The vast majority of people who have access to 25I-NBOMe in blotter, also have access to it in powder form, and often from a very wide variety of places. This makes it harder and less likely for a vendor to claim their hit is 1000ug when it's actually 500ug for example, since many of the buyers have dealt with powder and would instantly know the difference.

There's also the fact that there are so many people out there buying the powder and making their own blotter that really you're much more likely to get incorrect dosage hits through a result of poor blotter laying technique than you are through being misled.

That said, even with research chemicals it does happen, and it happens a damn lot, but you can't deny the fact that this is much much more often the case with LSD. The extreme majority of LSD users do not, have not, and probably will not ever have access to LSD in powder/crystal form, so they can't make any sort of even remotely accurate assumption of dosage based on their experiences, since they have nothing to compare it to. Now the real issue here is not even that people haven't had powder/crystal, but more that as a result of that people base their dosage on experience reports they've read by people who also guesstimated their dosages based on other people who did the same and so on.. this goes for the dealers too and as a result we have some really weird information out there about LSD dosage.

I think it should be encouraged that unless people have themselves had the blotter sent in for testing (and I mean themselves, with many dealers using the same prints with different dosages or substances on them, relying on some test results you saw online means nothing) then they should refer to the dosage as: 1 hit, 2 hits, 3 hits, or at best: 1 medium strength hit, 2 medium strength hits, etc.. rather than trying to quote ug doses they have no basis for assuming.

That's why it's not the same case for say MDMA pills either, because once again there is easy access to clean MDMA powder/crystals, along with sites like pillreports and ecstasy-data specifically designed to providing test results for these pills, so it's easier for a user to know if a dosage stated is genuine (or at least very close).

With regards to the Hofmann print being 25I-NBOMe, I'm not surprised, this is probably the most common print out there and it's not hard for someone to make their own blotter from various RCs - there have been Hofmanns about that weren't LSD for quite some time now.
