Heroin Blood flow on the foot(IV question)

This thread (and his others) just makes me sad. It's like watching a fatal car accident in slow motion, but the people in the car are laughing and having a great time.

Dude. Please stop while you can. If its not already too late... You're probably a great guy with a bright future that has just started circling the drain. Walk. Away. Now.

Just reading his threads reminds me of when I was 14 and thought it was cool to sniff oxy...sniffing oxy for 2 months turned into a full blown heroin addiction by the time I was 15. My buddy shot me up when I was 15 with 2 bags of decent dope and that was the downward spiral .I was hooked. I shot a bundle to two bundles a day until I was 18. Mom walked in on me one day shooting up and I went to detox after 3 years of heavy heroin abuse at 18 years old. Got on suboxone and did great for the first year, and joined the army and spent two years in tthe service clean. I started drinking a lot when I was in the army and got kicked out last may. I spent 5 months after I got kicked out heavily addicted to heroin/dilauded/oxy and morphine...I went a few years when I was in the army clean from opiates, but when I got out I went straigh back to them. I've been shooting my subs(don't start shooting because the needle itself is a whole new ball game. I don't get shit from my subs but just seeing that blood enter the rig is addictive in itself. I'm addicted to the needle and that's something you don't wqnt ton expierence while you're still as young as you are) for 6 months now....just think long and hard about this man...there's a lot of people here that are trying to watch out for you. Take our years of expierence and don't start down the path many of us wish we never went down...it only leads to hell, believe me...

He's still under the false delusion that switching to IV'ing is going to be cheaper because he has to do less than when he snorts it.

Sorry but, that's what makes a lot of people turn to the needle and it's bull shit. Within a very short period of time, your tolerance from IV'ing skyrockets, and you end up doing 10x more dope than you ever did snorting, therefore spending way way more money.

So, the "saving money, economic" reason is total crap.

IDK, but I do agree that iv'ing heroin is not the route to go here for the poster. He should actually just chip on it by snorting it, if said person has to do this. chipping by snorting would be way safer than IV'ing, esp.the vien routes that are spoken of too. Dude, you should go the chipping/snorting route for habit , money and saving wise, if you are going to do heroin.
just saying.

Economic reasons? Try working more hours or getting a job if you don't already have one. And why are you scared to shoot in the most commonly used and easiest place to shoot(the AC vein in the crook of the elbow) , but you are considering the neck.

LMFAO my plan worked!

my hand veins look so sexy right now, they are dying to be sucked dry

Well you should see my veins, they pop like crazy and I am light skinned so they are very visible. Though I have never IV'd, but my veins would definitely make most IV'ers jealous. Every time I have blood drawn they comment on how I am an easy stick or say I have "pipes", and they don't even really use the tourniquet, just tie it around my arm loosely probably for protocol or some BS. There was even the very odd comment from the first Suboxone Dr I visited. He was taking my BP with an auto cuff and commented that I had great veins if I ever decided to IV, after I had told him I only snorted my H. Obviously that is a very odd thing to say to someone who is apparently trying to get off drugs, but maybe he was trying to judge my reaction. I will say he was cocky and somewhat unprofessional, but at least not a guilt tripper or drill sergeant approach.

^mine used to be thick and juicy like that but now after having been stabbed multiple times a day for a few years the are scared so they hide under the surface :( and all the ones that still pop are just scar tissue so I have to dig deep.

Not in the foot... Never, never there, for ANY reasons.

Many doctors, nurses, and phlebotomists have told me this. I scar up neatly, efficiently, and annoyingly invisibly every time a professional IV is run into me. When I pointed to the fat, inviting veins on my feet, every single professional shooter shrieked with horror and told me why not. Reading in singer John Phillips' autobiography how he almost lost his feet shooting up there... well, just don't. Please.

Hte hands and feet are no goes. Hands....ehhh yea they are closer to your heart, feet tho are always said to be dangerous. Stick to the arms, there are more veins than you think. Plus the better and safer iv practice the healthier your veins will stay.

I've had a bad experience with the foot/ ankle. I'm telling you from knowing myself, don't put a needle in your ankle/foot. you'll be sorry.
going by safety - I've always been told not to use your ankle/ feet or wrist/hands - that, that's some of the worst places to go to, although I'll admit I've tried both, the out come of ankle/foot as said equal BAD. I have not had many problems with the hands, yet I'd say it's still not a good route, wrists, for me, forget it, ain't happening.

Don't even bother starting IVing. If you have "economic problems", consider not doing heroin recreationally. The cumulative cost for your health is going to be much more than the 5-10 euro/month you'll save.

If you're going to IV, stick to arms and thighs. Infected feet and hands are not nice. Even a missed shot there can ruin your day. By the way, anyone who uses drugs regularly, wants to use them IV, and goes around saying "i'm not addicted", I think they doth protest too much.

Hah, yes you are addicted. You said you were going to do it one time. Then you did it again... said you would wait weeks.. then you come back on the forum and said you had done it 5 times and also started shooting meth. Hah. You are already breaking your own rules and justifying your increased usage. That is addiction, friend.

You may not have a psychical dependency yet, but believe me you will. You are fooling yourself. Like, really we're all in awe of how badly you don't see what's happening to you. But you're young, inexperienced, and have no clue. Which is why you should have taken our advice, from people who have been where you are already and seen the end result, people who have seen thousands of new addicts over the years follow the exact same path you're on.

So yeah, right now you're saving a little cash.. but in 3 months, 6 months, a year, you'll be strung out and spending more money than you ever have in the past.

Have fun.
This entire statement will most likely make you cry in a couple of months.. cause its so fuckn true and you just blew it off.

I'm an occasional user that cares for 5-10 euro
so yes,i'm saving money not a lot though
i've told you before that i'm not addicted to it (yet) but you mistenderstood it as "mocking" to Bluelight

Does anyone know what happened to SoonAJunkie??? Apparently even though he went to the needle within a few weeks of doing heroin, he's not addicted. Remember guys, he had a secret we didn't know. He wasn't going to get addicted.

To be honest though, the only reason I ask is because if you see the progression of his last few posts, (trying meth ---> trying to shoot H without any knowledge ---> then a delusional post about some random girl) I got this vibe that things deteriorated rapidly. Not that I'm surprised or anything.

Despite his unbelievable stupidity and hubris, I still hope he's okay

With a name like SoonAJunkie it sounds like me adopting euphoricnod at 16 or 17. A bad fucking omen for the future.

Complete opposite for me, and in before calling me a fatso, I do have fucking thick skin, I successfully registered maybe twice in the pit of my forearm, using grade A 27 1/2G syringes during my year long spree with Dilaudid. But like you my hand veins are easy as all hell to catch, but my best vein for injecting is totally gone now....when I hit the methadone clinic the thing was swollen, thick and I could still manage to shoot in it more than anywhere else. 11 months of methadone and 3 weeks of suboxone later it is barely visible now under my....well the finger between the middle and pinky finger and a curvy 1.5cm scar goes down that hand.

All nurses always say that I have big "rolling" veins, often need to get a butterfly needle for bloodtests when they go for the most common middle pit of my upper limbs or top of my wrist (where i'd just stick needles and see if i could register...I know my map of hand veins and this worked when the big bulging ones didn't show up)...except this one guy nurse managed to do it so I have seen where it could be done..in theory. My left hand is easy to use too but never was as efficient it seems.

But yeah, I wish I was like you, this scar almost a year later has healed a lot and is tons of times less disgusting than it used to be but still...ouch. Not so bad when I make a fist but otherwise the scar is wrinkly ugh.

No one has mentioned this, but you STAND on your feet, and all your weight goes on your feet. Now I admit to using a vein in my right foot only near my ankle, but not actually on the foot perse very rarely. I almost always regret it, as when I stand up, it feels painful and sore, and I need to sit down. Not good for someone who isn't even 30 yet :(

Shooting in the arm avoids this issue.
