wouldn't it be great if you could be blissfully ignorant?
there are things about people that you don't want to believe
or that you simply try to ignore
then one day someone says something
or does something
that sends your entire world crashing down around you
all of a sudden you are forced to see things that you never wanted to see
that you never wanted to believe
you were content just believing that nothing was there
you didn't want to deal with the truth
or with the heartache and emotions that went along with realizing reality
what i would give to crawl back into my hole of ignorant bliss
to just forget about all of this
to go on pretending that i never heard anything
that i never saw anything
and maybe i will
but the bliss of ignorance will only continue until something else is said or done
