Blackheads

Creams are good ideas. So are pour strips (Biore, I think?). And salycilic acid -- though it does dry your skin out. If your dermatologist can get you some Differin or other scripts, those work even better.

There are a whole variety of anti-pimple prescription drugs that work at a wide array of strengths. If you're pretty serious looking, your doctor will work with you to determine what level you need (but just be very patient...).

Any way, in addition to doing the above, you should pick up a blackhead extractor tool from the drug store (probably in the beauty section). It's a handle that goes down to a small donut shape at the end, which you can use to considerably greater effect than your fingernails. (It's easier after a hot shower, as others have mentioned.)

Not too expensive, either.

i wash my face like once to three times a week with normal soap and water and im fine =/ i have NEVER used any creams or anything of the sort. ive never even shaved before and i have a big beard. im behind the times i guess (only 18 hah)

^Your just lucky.

Ive been using a salycilic acid peel lately, neutrogena acne mark fading peel. Its smoothing out my skin a lot. Benzoyl Peroxide and the S. Acid really have helped more than anything else for me..and taking care of myself in all the obvious ways. I really have no blackheads and I used to when I was a teen.

haha yeah right, im like an athletic guy stuck in a kinda large (230pound 5'11) body =/

i honestly dont get it, my friends eat 3 times the food i do. i exercise more than any of them.. 2 of them eat and play world of warcraft all day literally.. they are too lazy to go 6 blocks to my house and they are like 140pounds 5'9

i skate and ride my bike everywhere and try to do sit up and push ups and still have fat rolls on my belly, i can feel my ribs and then theres just this big fat roll (maybe too much beer? haha)

I have very oily skin and it gets pretty bad around my nose area , lol, doesnt help that I have pores that are so huge you can slide them closed with venetian blinds 8( ;)
I've had a couple of trips to my moms dermatologist where I've had the little blackheads on my nose extracted...and I take care of my skin by washing daily with soap (yes...soap! my skin is very oily and not sensitive at all....soap makes me feel MUCH cleaner)..and I use astringent with a capsule of Dalacin-C (clindamycin...you can get this OTC ina ny drugstore) for my face. This may be a bit harsh for most people (esp those with sensitive skin) but trust me...it keeps my face clear AND pimple/blackhead free. :)
When Im up to it I put on one of those clay masks that unclog pores and tighten skin ....I'm a product whore so I'll be happy to give you some brand names if you wish. :D

This might seem weird but when I was younger I saw on tv how to make a face mask out of clay cat litter. My skin is a little too sensitive for it now, but when I used to use it, my pores would never be so pure. I mean you couldnt see a pore at ALL! All you do is take the natural clay cat litter, soak it in some warm water for awhile and then slowly mash it into a paste once its soft and put it on your skin. It works wonders for blackheads!
