black/white "stars" in direct vision while sober

Hey everyone, I've joined bluelight so that I can see if you guys have any insight into something. Seeing as how many of you do psychedelics and such, I'm thinking maybe there's a chance you guys might have an idea of what I'm talking about. Well, to give a little background, ever since I can remember, I've seen a small cluster of what look to be stars in my direct vision at all times (not the 5 pointed shape type of star, the dot type you see in the sky). I see it with my eyes closed and open, of course more clearly with the eyes closed. The "stars" are black and white at the same time it seems. I kind of equate the weird combination with a nitrous oxide trip. Actually, nitrous trips make the stars stand out intensely because of this. So, I tried LSD a few years ago, and these stars turned into a magenta color (but still shimmered like the black and white I normally have). Because the LSD affected it, I got even more curious. Do any of you have any idea (through reading or experience) as to what these stars are? If not, what about the black/white combination in general?

Well, do you see more stars in the dark? And are you stars more like "static"(white nose)?
It sounds close similar to Blue field entoptic phenomenon. But I guess that you were speaking about different thing.

Anyway, it seems that it is normal to have some sort of visual disturbance. Psychedelics can promote it. And sometimes visual disturbance can become really terrible. This is called Hallucinogen persisting perception disorder(HPPD). We have thread about this condition, check it The Big & Dandy HPPD Thread

And welcome to Bluelight!
