I came across a drug called Bitoperin online and apparently it is for treating negative symptoms of schizophrenia (ie. anhedonia). I wonder how effective it would be.

Anyone know anymore about this drug?

Bitopertin is not on the market yet so i doubt anyone has any personal experience. It works on the theory that the NMDA receptor plays a key role in schizophrenia. I don't know how well it swill work and noone else will until it hits the market.

Also many of the atypical anti-psychotics such as clozapine, quetiapine, olanzapine, Aripiprazole, etc work against the negative symptoms of schizophrenia.

Have you tried the anti-depressant wellbutrin? I have found that it helps anhedonia and as it's a norepinephrine and dopamine reuptake inhibitor it has none of the not so great side effects of SSRI's. It could help you get over the anhedonia. It honestly sounds like your becoming obsessed with it at this point.

Yes... It has completely consumed my life. I can't think of nothing else, though I know I should change that for my own good...

It's not easy.
