^ Losing in the Wild Card Playoff game is hardly enough to make me feel like he's not wasting away there in Detroit. And now they are 4-8, taking a step back after their decent 2011 season. One playoff berth since 2007 isn't that good for arguably the best WR in the NFL.

the same takeo spikes who still plays in the league(san diego), at an above average level
and has NEVER been on a playoff roster

His teams were awful.
Usually he was supplied some decent receivers (a couple really good ones when he first came into the league in Mark Clayton and Mark Duper) and he had a great offensive tackle in Richmond Webb, but Shula never got him a running back worth a shit, and the defense was always putrid. His rookie season probably offered him his best team, and his last year (when his skills had begun to decline) the defense finally came together. During his peak he had nothing.
