Biggest Misconceptions About MDMA or Ecstasy

The one that's most aggravating is definitely "it puts holes in your brain".

Even when I explain the origins of that theory from the Oprah special, and why it was a misleading and totally incorrect interpretation, some people still refuse to believe me.

The hypocrisy is best when these people judging me for using a drug that they say can cause brain damage are the same people that get blacked-out drunk twice a week... :|
 
Not just about E but kinda the scene in general - I hate hearing "Oh, I heard some kid died on those pills/at that event. Some guy my friend knows saw some kid being taken out on a stretcher and I heard he died later!" And then, of course, there's no news article or anything to back it up. Whenever someone dies from MDMA it's ALL over the news, so those kinds of rumors are just ridiculous.

There's a difference between something being PHYSICALLY POSSIBLE and something being EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY UNLIKELY. WHY would an MDMA producer buy something that is MORE expensive than MDMA (heroin or cocaine), that is NOT very orally active at all, and put them in their pills. IT MAKES NO SENSE.

It doesn't happen. I think there might be one report of heroin being in a pill, and a few with cocaine. But they aren't even very orally active, it would be a complete and utter waste of money on behalf of the producer/districutor, and it wouldn't make the pills worth more.
 
That there is mescaline in some pills.

I dont know how many times ive heard this..."This pill has 200 micrgrams of mescaline as well." even from people who i thought knew their shit, and i have to explain that it takes 200-300 milligrams of mescaline to trip, and that it wouldnt fit in a normal sized pill
