Big APAP dose...quick question

Will I be safe if I take a single dose of APAP that equals 4.5g? I do not ever drink alcohol nor do I take anything that would harm my liver. This will just be a one time thing. I do not want to do a CWE because it will seem like a waste to be only using 6 pills. They are Vicodin ES tabs and I just want to know if it will be ok to have that much APAP just one time.

I didnt mean a waste as in a waste of my time. I meant that there were not enough pills to do a cwe bc some of the hydrocodone is lost when doing it.

I also wouldn't take that dosage level, some people have experienced toxicity at that level.

If you're going to take it anyway, some research shows that you could mitigate the damage by purchasing SAMe (s-adenosyl-methionine) and taking 2500mg every four hours for a total of 10000mg. This dosing regimen came from a journal article where hospitals tested the efficacy of oral SAMe versus the more common antidote NAC (which has to be IV'd or injected.)

It was found to be as effective or more effective than NAC at mitigating APAP overdose. I take it every single time I CWE just to help with the acetaminophen that may be in the water.

I took 4.2g myself a while ago and believe me there was pain! The day after and the day after that I had constant right quadrant pain, enough to stop me walking sometimes.
CWE them, please.
