So last night i took a half oz of some b+ grade widdow, and extracted its butane style.

I got about a gram of finished product from my first flush, and when i smoke it it has a serious sizzle to it. Its one of the crazyest bubbles i have ever seen. And it gets me super high. Its the best hash ive smoked besides this c02 extraction earwax made with bio-diesel.

I was wondering that if with the intense sizzle is due to left over butane polluting my product? Has anyone ever used this way of extraction? Recommend it or not?

i'd be more worried about impurities from cheap brand butane sticking around in the hash. butane combustion produces only co2 and h2o anyway so it's safer than the actual smoke you toke.

IF you scraped it up when it was still really cold it may just be a bit of water trapped in your oil that sizzles when the oil burns.

how would anyone recomend smoking oil in a pipe? Im sure it would just melt and run down into the pipe, would I have to put the oil on some weed or is there any other way?

If you only got 1 gram from 1/2oz you probably didnt do something right.

Some tips..

I like to chop my weed with scissors and pack it in my extractor tube. Some people grind smoe people pack whole nugs i find this to be a nice medium.

IDK what extractor tube your using but it you use a turkey baster or something like most people do try zip tying your coffee filter on the end.

When you run your butane through, once you see it start to come out the end with the coffee filter, wait a few seconds before continuing to run the butane. This gives the butane a chance to soak into the buds. I usually do this two or three times while i run it. I use about 1/2 can butane per 1/2 oz.

When you purge (boil of the butane), do it over water on low heat. Let it cool, then purge again over as low heat possible. Scrape the oil while the pyrex is warm to the touch.

The sizzling could be some left over butane. Probably not enough to harm you, at least immediately. Sometimes when i heat my BHO with very low heat and stir and whip it up with a warm paper clip, it gets that out and sizzles less and is actually easier to handle.

Goodluck, if you have any questions feel free to ask

With Butane extraction techniques it must be stressed to perform the extraction in a very well ventilated area away from any sources of ignition.

If you are heating the butane to speed up the process make sure NOT to use any naked flames or gas stoves and again perform this stage in a very well ventilated area. The pyrex dish can be placed in a larger bowl with warm water in it to speed the process up rather than using a stove-top.

Lastly everything I read about BHO extraction stresses the need for a stainless steel vessel as butane could potentially leach into plastics or similar materials.

It was only a gram from my first flush. I didnt weigh the product, it was about 3/4 of a razor blade.
