BHO on Vaped Bud?

For those of you that have seen it, I started a thread not long ago asking about the BHO method and mixing kief with honey oil to form solid hash. However, I recently decided that I was going to buy a vape (within the next few weeks) and cant really afford to get a decent vape and a decent ounce with all the stuff I need to make the hash right away.

So, I was thinking it would be a good idea to get the vaporizer 1st, buying my normal gram or so each week and then a grinder with screen. Ill grind up my bud, keep the kief, vape the bud and save up an ounce of two over the next few weeks and months. Il make honey oil from the saved bud and mix it with the kief to make it a bit more potent and also a solid hash.

Does that sound like a good idea? I know that using vaped bud guarantees that my honey oil will be less potent but by adding the kief surely I will be adding quite a kick to it anyway?

vaped bud is not only less potent, but it also loses mass from its original state. idk how potent the honey oil would be, but I would expect a significant drop in potency compared to "normal" honey oil.

That's a great idea, you will probably need five times as much vaped bud to have it work, and the hash wouldn't taste as good as hash with real buds.

Maybe do this, save the kief, save the duff (vaped bud) and also get an Oz. of fresh buds somewhere down the line to make hash. Hash with the duff could work but it would take a lot more.

I'm sure hash will taste great out of a vaporizer! What kind are you getting?

Yeah, your right about it not being as potent but i dont really have that high a tolerance plus there will be a lot of kief which is quite potent on its own.

I might get a larger amount of fresh bud once Iv saved up my ounce of 'duff' (you learn something new everyday lol) but I doubt it will be another Oz.

Would it be an idea to put my mixture in a pollen press for a while after to help it form btw?

Alternatively, would it just be better to throw away the vaped bud and put my kief thru a pollen presser? How good will that hash be?

Kief in a pollen press is pretty strong. That was the first I ever had (homemade w/ kief) and it's great, real potent. Heated mine up to melt it so that it formed into a real disc, it's definitely worth doing if you have enough kief

I might give it a try. It doesnt seem like either method is much harder than the other, I just want the best product. I bought a grinder over the net the other day and will start collecting kief straight away.

What seems best?

It would be slightly more worth your money to add the BHO on the duff, but it probably wouldn't add any strength. If that makes sense. You'd have a little more product, but most likely it wouldn't be any stronger. The kief by itself pressed would probably taste better.

No, it makes perfect sense and Iv had a few to drink as it is.

Basically, the THC content will most likely be the same (or similar) but spread out amongst more hash if I added some BHO.

I probably will add the bho. I have nothing to lose.

i'd just do it with iso personally. will pretty much get you the same result. the only benefit of butane, normally, is that it freezes the polar contents of the plant matter's cells, suspending the CBNs while the THC is stripped out into the collection dish. but with the little psychoactive shit left in vaped duff as it is, it would be more practical to just get all you can as easily as you can with an iso wash. plus, you may regret blowing all that time and money doing the butane extraction if the results turn out to be less than satisfactory. i've tried turning vaped duff to hash a few times, and in the end i always get more out of just cleaning the vape components that get resinated. now THAT resin is good shit!
