Bliss

twisting and writhing
violin strings scream in these sheets
shaken, somber sighs
rolling from the depths
of a drummers soul
hands aflame with sweat-stirred pores
peel back the sheets until
there's nothing more to see
but old mattress sores
springs all a squeak and hair strewn
-stuck-
across her cheeks
-knotted- like the gut-raging thrill
they find in each other
clinging on beneath rhythmic shoulder
-blade and back bone drive
waging tiny lusty wars
with teeth and cat-angry eyes
a ramblin' ride --- spin-trip tour
around each and every flat surface inside
liquored up spirits summon servitude waters
that drip...
every bit of these steaming hungry bodies
proclaiming they were destined
for one-another
and crippled toes dance jagged patterns
through thick, wheezing air
limbs mimic serpentine branches
to entwine the bodies bare
melt worlds outside windows
with this single sincere stare
and after all storms wreckage complete
they compile ravine-like sobs
down flushed pink cheeks
and breath in deep heaps
of the purest standing energy
the bodies raw-naked and panting
spend minutes of forever
still locked with him inside her
eyes not seeing anything
but sweaty visions
atop sheets all a-twist
under closed quivering eyelids
pictures project
of this nights
bewildering bliss.

Wow... there's an intensity to this which just keeps rolling through the poem.

Love this section (it was particularly vivid for me):

I love you Mary my sistah, one day I'll be able to write with the kind of raw feeling and truth that you do so easily, much love!

All I can say is wow... This is the most intense and vivid piece of work I've read in quite some time. Stunning.
