Better solvent for washing crystals than acetone?

It seems like no matter what there is product loss. Even using ice cold tone dried with MgSO4 results in loss. There's a post somewhere about acetone absorbing H2O quickly, any truth to this?

What is a better solvent for washing crystals? ...methanol...?
 
Why you post this same stupid question twice I don't know. Again, what kind of crystals? this shouldn't be in this section of the boards.. At all. Google and UTFSE. It also depends on what your product is cut with..
 
Ethyl acetate. It's really good at washing away all your product.
 
Aqua regia.

In all seriousness, it really depends on the crystals in question.
