Can BB be affected like opiate via the liver so some people don't get the benefit others do?

Also take propranolol a total CNS depressant -slow heart ,lungs ,CV system etc
Take a new BB -atenol only slow the heart ,still the the centre of the CNS right.

So how are they so different to benzo's ,is it simply the fact that beta blockers dont [I guess] affect the spinal cord /nerves or dull serotonin/dopamine/norephrine receptors etc.

Beta-blockers has no abuse potential and are listed as one of the top most useful drugs and no danger of abuse is part of this.

Personally now if I ever did I feel nothing -relaxation wise - from BB.
