Best/worst times of day to cop on the streets?

Copping on the street in general is pretty risky, but I have found certain times are easier than others to go and score, and certain drugs availability changes with the time of day

I think the best time to score on the street is probably around lunchtime until after the evening rush hour. Traffic is always flowing, people are out and about and you see a greater myriad of people during the day. Not to mention that at night cops are on the prowl

I think from around midnight or so until sunrise is probably the worst time to score. Not only are roads far more empty, far less people are out, and cops are on the lookout. I think nighttime and drug sales/use are more closely correlated than the middle of the day, at least as far as police/the average person is concerned

What do you feel are the best and worst times to cop?
 
i agree with you. the middle of the night is shady because there are much less people out
i think morning - noon is the best time. people aren't expecting it then.
 
I agree. I've never bought on the streets as such, but I have done deals in public places like carparks and even malls. I find daytime to be safest, especially if there are people around - it looks far less obvious. Meetings at night always look suspicious.
 
Most of the dealers I have will only meet during the day, only the sketchy ones will meet at night. Daytime is much safer. As far as copping on the street goes I try to go around lunchtime as I find there are plenty of dealers around and also lots of people out and about to blend in with. I live in Denver so the area to buy is right next to a bunch of tourist attractions so I just blend right in.
 
shit, looks like none of yall are in jerz. Out here, During the day is shitty at least the areas in the city I go to. the state police and DEA is all up in there and they constantly be out during the afternoon with the undercover cars doin surveillance over the whole hood. Its bad to be up in there at like 2, 3 pm they are EVERYWHERE lately. Coppin in the early night time like 7 or 8 seems to be better. Never go after 10 or so then it gets hot again.
 
From my 2-3 years of daily copping heroin on the street here is what I've found:
1.)early in the morning is the best. The dope spots are open for all the business people and the cops are either changing shifts, or are just getting their daily assignments.

2.)If not early in the morning, go to cop in bad weather. Would a cop really want to search your car in the pouring rain, or in the freezing snow? while you sit comfy cozy in the back of their warm dry car. Plus if you're white in the ghetto pouring rain will somewhat block their ability to see into your car.

3.)The worst time to go is around 3pm-6pm weekdays. Or 10am-2pm weekends. I don't know exactly why, maybe because the people who complain about drug sales probably work 9-5 jobs, so when they get out of work the police want to be out in force? Or possibly these are the slow times for the police and they don't have anything better to do...or they want to make a quick/easy arrest before they end their shift? Another bad time is when they're doing training for new cops. I got busted by 3-4 cop cars full of new recruits. It was crazy cuz 4 cop cars swarmed me at once and all i was doing was trying to buy one lousy bag. But IMO the cops like to show new recruits where the spots are.

lastly, I've never had any trouble around lunch time during the week days (probably because most cops are on their lunch break.) But this is all in my experience, copping heroin in the north east US. Basically from my experience, you want to make it a pain in the ass to arrest you. Use any available resource to your advantage (weather, their shifts, traffic, their empathy (yes some have empathy) --->"please officer i'm just a drug addicted suburban kid"). The best idea would be to befriend a cop (or anyone who would know) what shifts and areas the officers work at what times. Of course this doesn't do much good when you need a hit. But I gotta say, I copped every morning for 2-3 years between 7am-8am and never had a problem. Also during that time, I never copped after 10pm.
So if you only take one piece of advice, build a relationship with the morning shift drug dealers, let them know you'll be there almost every morning at the same time. They'll appreciate your business and the lack of heat from the police. Plus you have less of a chance of getting jacked in the morning. And it's obvious as fuck that someone is dealing when there's only one black/puerto rican dude standing out on the corner at 7am(so if u need to find a new spot morning is a good time too). and IMO spots that had morning shifts seemed to be more 'professional' better dope, fatter bags and always slingin.

i dont 'cop dope', but i do buy drugs and i prefer to buy drugs during daylight hours. i prefer to do it in the morning b/w 9:30-12 but since dealers are notoriously bad at being awake or doing business at these hours i rarely get to do this although with my weed conects it is usually good friends and we all work and stuff so i can usually get green early but sometimes i have to wake up earlier then i intended and that kinda sucks but i prefer to have on the ball drug dealers.

so when it is up to me i prefer to buy drugs before noon, but since it isnt always the case i dont mind gettin them in the middle of the night or ungodly morning hours as long as i havent been drinkin and i dont look fucked up on anythin else or anything
 
I too dont buy on the street and prefer to get stuff in the daytime. i feel much safer during the day, hardly ever get pulled over, and even if i do i doubt im gonna look all fucked up and get searched. *KNOCK ON WOOD*

at nighttime i feel vulnerable. seems theres a much higher chance you get pulled over for some BS and hassled. also it just looks shadier. more people are home, so if your going to someones house for a minute then you will be seen more, especially if its regular. less people are out so the meeting places are often sketchier unless you go somewhere crowded, which there is less of during the night.

i prefer to get it done in the day. usually at night i smoke by 9 -11 pm and once i smoke at night i dont really go driving. maybe 8 or 9 but after that i haaaate going out if im stoned. i get paranoid as fuck.
 
I don't do the whole street thing, never did other than a small handful of times. I agree with everyone though that no matter what, when it's light out is far safer. I always try to pick up during the afternoon. I don't do mornings because I just don't do mornings in any way unless I'm still awake from the night before.
 
Man the US sounds really full on with the whole street scene. Australia is NOTHING like that. Dealers doing "shifts", that is just unheard of around here. Basically here its just who you know - make a call, go get ur shit and thats that.
 
I just call ahead of time, or look up the block. If the police are there, I go to another project down the street.
 
Best time of the day to cop dope is in the morning around 9-10 AM (even though I have used dope spots before which started up at 5:30-6 AM). After 1 or 2 in the afternoon, the police presence is significantly greater. After dark, unless you go to skidrow, you can really only cop rocks on the streets.
