Best trip (it wasn't even real)

I just woke up from this crazy trip I had while dreaming. It was the best trip I've ever had. I've had mushrooms and RC tryptamines at least 10 times in my life, but I've never had any DMT and I think I just experienced it through my dream. It wasn't necessarily just lucid dreaming it was like tripping at the same time. I've had the experience of tripping while dreaming once before, but this was different because it was like I could control everything that I saw during the trip.

It started out that I was just normal dreaming and when the dream finished instead of waking up or falling back into a deep sleep, I was left in this black void. Time was irrelevant, but if I had to guess it was probably only like a minute or two. Then, while still in the void I remember having this overwhelming sense of doom come over me and then I got this feeling like I was being thrust forward. This is where it got really crazy. I started imagining shapes (boxes, squares, etc.) to see if I could control what was happening and it worked. Whatever I thought of appeared and it was just as real as if I saw it in real life. At this point I remember being very curious what I was capable of (I knew I was dreaming). The best part was when I imagined a sphere and it suddenly took on the appearance of earth. It didn't have any color or texture, but it had white outlines of all the countries. Then it started rotating and it became transparent, so as it was rotating, I could see all the countries going by on the front and could also see them on the back at the same time. It blew my mind that I was capable of producing this. There were certain parts of it that weren't as clear but as soon as I focused on them, they became clear. I then remember taking random images and wrapping them around the sphere as it kept rotating.

After that it seemed like I fell back asleep for a minute and then I woke up. For about 30 seconds after I awoke, I was very confused like I was really high. I think I experienced the DMT while sleeping.

Is DMT really like this? Anyone have any lucid dreaming techniques that might get me there again?

I've been interested in lucid dreaming much more since my ayauasca trip. I was once in this dream where I had just stolen a top secret flash drive from microsoft. I was aware I was dreaming so while they were chasing me I was warping the world around me so i could escape, as i reached the parking lot of the facility I really wanted to see what was on this flashdrive. I went up to a very nice car and opened the place where you put gas in door, and made a usb port, a computer shot up out of it and launched up, don't remember what was on the flash drive exactly but it opened up a webpage of .dmt instead of .com. Then the people were about to catch me so i got on top of the car and just said the word go. I held the sides, rockets formed out of the back of the car and i launched into the air, flying out of orbit and into the an empty void of nothing going at what I perceived as lightspeed, i had the same intense rushing sensation i had from when i had ayahuasca, most bizarre dream ever.

To help induce lucid dreams I take melatonin and valarian root occasionally. you can check if your dreaming during the day like pinching yourself, that way when you acting like your normal self in a dream you'll pinch yourself and realize that you are dreaming. setting an alarm for the middle of the night and staying up for 5 min then going back to bed can induce vary vivid dreams aswell.

DMT is different than this. It is much more intense and you don't control the visuals. There is also usually entity contact and communication.

Terence Mckenna said in Alien Dreamtime, " And one of the things that I learned about DMT was that if you've ever had it, even just once, then you can have a dream, and in this dream somebody will pull out a little glass pipe, and then it will happen! It will happen just like the real thing. Because there's a button somewhere inside each and every one of us that gives you a look into the other side. And that's the button that resets the compass that tells you where you want to sail. Good luck..."

If the 'other side' is 'dream consciousness' rather than the realm of extrateresrial entities or the realm of ancestors souls, then that would make sense; but be less interesting. So there is always reason to deny the mundane (but obvious), I'll say that "it's 'definitely not dream consciousness, but God himself!"

"Let me tell you 'bout strawberry fields... you know the place where nothin' is reeeeaaaallll...
...there's another place you can go...."

This sounds like a typical lucid dream to me. Not all lucid dreams have to be within everyday environments and the like. I've had many weird, wacky, psychedelic lucid dreams similar to yours.

As for your experience being similar to DMT, I can see some similarities, e.g. time being irrelevant and the feeling of being thrust forward but other than that it doesn't much resemble the DMT experience.
