Best strain of weed to substitute alcohol?

From y'all's experiences is there any strain of weed that has any similar effect on the brain as drinking alcohol does? I know there's been times where certain kinds of weed I've had gave me a very similar buzz as drinking. But I'm in the process of cutting way back or quitting drinking for awhile. Like I said just wanted to hear some opinions from everyone. Thanks.

The problem is just like with weed, different people like different things about alcohol. A little bit of alcohol can be stimulating and uplifting, a lot of alcohol can be depressing and tiring. Some people like this uplifting effect, some people like the downer side of ethanol. Some strains of weed imitate this uplifting action of alcohol slightly more and some strains of weed imitate the relaxing/calming down aspect of alcohol more.

So my question to you is: What is it about alcohol that you like that you wish to replace with weed? I know a lot of people who quit drinking with the help of weed, and coincidentally I know a lot of people who quit weed and started heavier drinking as a consequence.

Thank you for your response fnX. I'm into the downer side of alcohol mostly, I love that calming feeling yet uplifted at the same time. I've been smoking weed and drinking together for awhile, but I've cut back alot on the drinking like I mentioned earlier. I'm really starting to just enjoy weed and in hopes that will be my only drug of choice in the near future. Tired of damaging my liver haha. But yeah that's interesting you mentioned about friends quitting weed and drinking more a few of my friends started doing that.

Try getting a pure Indica or Indica dominant strain. If you enjoy being drunk on hoppy beer you'll enjoy an Indica. If you prefer being drunk on good bourbon and find the effects of bourbon to be stimulating try smoking a Sativa.

Keep in mind though that if you're addicted to alcohol or have a substance abuse problem with it that you're just substituting one addiction or one substance for another.
