best/safest way to get resin out of a cotton?

specifically a cigarette filter, what is the best way of getting all the resin out without getting a bunch of the fibres and bad shit from the filter into the hit?

Don't use cigarette filters to inject unless you have no other alternatives. Fiberglass isn't very good for your veins.

I don't know if this is what you plan on doing though, but, don't even think about attempting to take the resin out from a used cigarette then using it to filter a shot.

I find it hard to believe someone who has access to a cigarette filter doesn't have access to a single unused Q-Tip. A pack of Q-Tips brand or generic can be had for less than a dollar.

I assume you mean how to remove Heroin from old cottons. There is no safe way to do so. The only way cottons have any dope at all in them is if you did a shitty job sucking the liquid out the first time. Saving old cottons is horribly unhealthy, the fungal and bacterial microbes that swarm the thing are waiting to get access to your body and cause horrible health problems.

The safest thing to do is when you initially use a cotton to filter a shot, after you have sucked everything out of it, use a second syringe with 10-30 units of water to squirt clean water onto the (just used) cotton, then suck up through it again. This should remove most if not all of anything that could be left behind on it.

But this should be done immediately after you have used the cotton, not days or weeks or months after the fact. A lot of addicts like to save cottons, but it's pointless and horribly unsafe. Do not use cigarette filters at all.

Its funny isn't it, I always get mad when someone won't drop a few bucks on clean rigs when they use daily. When you end up in the ER with an abscess you'll wish you spent three bucks for safety.

You can always put old, used cottons in your mouth next to your cheek and suck on them til they don't taste bitter anymore. That way you don't waste heroin and are safe from infection. Try to keep the saliva by your gums as long as you can.

Would that not kill any bacteria possibly present?

Ill never use a fucking cigarette butt again after what you said here. but there isnt much cotton on the end of one of those... will try and anyhow and report back when I try it, because somehow i have alot of powder left over after each shot (maybe i dont get all of the oxy to dissolve properly), anyways, il let you know

i thought they took fiber glass out of cig filters some time ago. but i could be wrong on that.

i put them in a 5cc rig add water and squirt out, then in another rig with the smallest micron filter they make suck it up

The amount of Heroin present in a cotton is so little that even if you had 20, 30 or 40 used cottons and did this, it wouldn't equal a fraction of a single bag.

It's a compulsive behavior, similar to crack users picking up dirt and dust off the floor to vaporize thinking something may have fallen out of the pipe.

Another compulsive behavior like this for Heroin addicts is continuously pushing a plunger in and out while the needle is in a vein, trying to 'clean out' every last bit of dope by filling and emptying the syringe with blood.

Futile and very dangerous. An alcohol extraction would result in an amount of powder, if any is to be made, so small that it would barely be perceptible to the naked eye. Is that worth it? That amount wouldn't make a difference to anyone, especially not a tolerant user/addict.
