Best place in NYC (manhattan) for EDM?

I'm coming to NYC next week, and I would like to enjoy some EDM and some rolling with my friends. any recommendation there?

I actually like going to Jamaica in Queens, New York.... been to a lot of shows/raves in that area.
 
It's a decent venue. I went there once to see James Zabiela. Cielo was voted as having the greatest soundsystem in the United States so that might be worth checking out. I don't know what style of EDM you prefer or what night you are going out though. I would personally go to the Resolute 5th anniversary party.

Pacha and Webster Hall (not the best speaker system) are always go tos for me in NYC. Hammerstien Ballroom and Roseland Ballroom hold some good events/shows as well. Terminal 5 is okay, had good artists but terrible speakers.

All these places are cool but expensive as a cracker in peanut butter. . . I live in Astoria queens and always venture to Jamaica you could try out Greenpoint, Brooklyn <--- yuppie style

Depends on what type of EDM you like. Astoria for me is always just hookah bars lol. BUT you are right, expensive and mainstream.

Jamaica, Queens aye? Ever hit up Amazura concert hall? I may have run into you once or twice if you have =D

Pacha? Forget that place. Forget clubs in general. Brooklyn warehouse parties are where it's at. Amazura is a nice venue. It's a legal venue, so don't expect an illegal rave or anything, but it's certainly better than The Electric Warehouse (The Electric Crackhouse), or The Lab as it's more commonly known as. Honestly, I'd recommend The Electric Warehouse if it wasn't for the incredibly shitty neighborhood, the horrible security and all the other sketchy factors that come in to play when visiting that venue. I was on line one time when the owner of the venue got his head smashed with a baseball bat from some guy he robbed when security was going through his pockets...so, to each his own. Tread with caution, but the danger is part of the excitement.
