Theres many different pills at the healthfood sstore claimin to help you relex.
I've heard of Valerian, & passion flower & a few others but I'm assumin Kava is the most effective. Is this Correct?

I think they only come in pills where I live. What is a good % of kavalactones I should be looking for in the product & should I just follow the intructions on the bottle or is it safe to take a few more?

or is it just not worth it because if it's only efective as taking 5-10mg Valium I wont even bother cuz the stuff is like $40 a bottle.

(Don't want mention of DHC, Codeine or DXM cuz I'm already aware of these pruducts)

You can get kava still in the health stores where you live? Cool.

OP you may be disappointed with kava it's a subtle kind of thing, I found it very nice and relaxing though. Better then anything else legal (without a script) that I've tried.

Legal.. heck. mushrooms...(kidding) . The only legal stuff will kill you..and its the worst. See Alcohol, tobacco. But PIKAl or TIKAL and make your own DMT from eucalyptus. Oh yeah has anyone done this??

Best legal stuff to help you relax?

Here are a few to try........

A good massage.

A good book in a comfy chair in a quiet place.

Some mindless television. I used to love prisoner to help me relax.

I bought 50grams of passion flower and Skullcap off ebay, it's ground up leaves, in a very fine powder so you cant make tea out of it. Just bought some empty caps and put it in those. Have a gram of each before I go to bed when i'm feeling bit restless, certainly makes sleeping that little bit easier.

A hot cup of Yerba Mate;) Does have a stimulating effect (a little like coffee) but I found it to be very relaxing at the same time. Doesnt taste to bad either.

Instant gratification I found in ganja. Not to get high at all but a what I call, "mood change." Of course I've found the cross mixed in by getting high. I am in cronic pain all day long. My temper gets short quite often when discomfort controls my day. I don't like being angry and feel remorse for the feelings. I take a mood change and you can reformat my harddrive all day long as long as it stays peaceful. More often I agree relaxing is very elusive. Minds Eye is the name of some videos teaching self awareness relaxation techniques. I wish I had them today. With my assumption to the title making me think ingestion thats my best. I've tried a lot of herbs yet to find results. I don't need anything to help me persay to relax if I can accept in the moment I belong. Still need mood change so I'll shut up now

^ As far as i no, it's legal to possess & sell in Australia, but it is illegal to import into Australia without a license, as it is "Schedule IV" in the import laws.

Yea, you should have no problem buying it from herb shop's, but if you wanted to import it, you will need to apply for a license and also prove that you need it for medical or scientific purposes.

Natural Aroma bath & shower arthritis gel. I have no idea whats in it, but I wouldn't be surprised if it had some kind of skeletal muscle relaxant. Of course the ingredients are far too vague to discern the active chemical.

You should be able to find it in the personal care section of your supermarket.

When I'm coming down or just need a rest I usually put a few drops of it in my bath. Only problem is staying awake in the bath :P

Also +1 for a massage.

Kava u can bring in if ur an islander and say it's for cultural purposes. I brought some back from Fiji and customs didn't do anything bout it. Kava is very subtle tho.

Never tried any of those vitamins sceptical bout them. Honestly when I come home after work nothing relaxes me more then a nice fresh beer followed by a crisp apple cider in summer or a glass of Shiraz in winter.
Weed obviously too but I'm not really a fan

yeah kava is your best bet. It feels like a cross between a benzo and alcohol. If you get really good fresh stuff it can make you feel like you are floating off the couch...talk about relaxation :)

The only thing that makes me relax heaps is opiates (codeine and oxys) with a bit of alprazolams. Not aware of anything that is legal. If its legal u bet its crap. Anything good is always illegal. Maybe sum wild dagga smoke?

Hey what about codeine Susty? :P I know you are a fan much like myself.

Thinking i might have to try this kava shit with some codeine, if its subtle it probably wont do much to me on its own but with a CWE it could be alright.

Kava is available in supplement shops; it's even in chemists now under I forgot what name, in some relax aid vitamin supplement or whatever. It's not that good imo but gives you weird dreams.

You could try damiana.

DMT is scheduled in Australia and most is extracted from acacia species or phalaris grass. There is a TEK for obtaining mescaline from eucalyptus tree's, but not DMT as far as I know.

TIKAL (tryptamines I have known and loved) has information on both natural and synthetic tryptamines, most of which are scheduled. The best ones are easily obtained from plants and mushrooms. These tryptamine containing plants and fungi have been used for thousands of years, it's only in recent history that they have been banned.

PIKAL (phenethylamines I have known and loved) is a book mainly based on illegal synthetics such as the 2C-*'s and DO*'s.

Both written by the legendary chemist Alexander Shulgin and his wife Ann
