Hi, ERveryone,
I just took an excellent sht of dilaudid and need your guys help finding this movie quick! As per the title.

I just started really liking this girl and she took off all mysterious like so anyway that the reason for the rpomantic optionality.

It depends on what you mean by involving romance. Candy is great for the idea that it shows a drug addicted couple and what they go through. Its more realistic undertones can really pull at you. Requiem for a dream, though it loses points for not being accurate in a sense, does a great job at showing a couple who "could have had a lot more" but they slowly traded it all for dope. Its not the main story as it follows 4 different people decent into drug addiction. It is more "what did i just watch" type of movie.

Spun kind of involves romance but thats the biggest stretch for them i think. That movie you have to watch twice because odds aer you may not realize how fucked up it truly is. It really captured meth use in that way its a fucked up movie but its so fast and jittery (in a way) you dont notice how fucked up it is.

But a lot of movies i can think of only have a couple featured as part of it, other then candy at least.

So true about Spun. I actually had to stop watching it the second time because I wasn't as fucked up and I couldn't deal with it.

Other movies:
Panic in Needle Park
Drugstore Cowboy
Cisco Pike

Your title and your post are a bit misleading.

Is the question about movies that have opiates/opioid type drugs in them or a movie that is good to watch on opiates?

I really like Trainspotting as well...to me it was relatively accurate in depicting junkie-dom and how fucked up it sometimes is without reducing itself to caricature a la "requiem for a dream"

It's really not. I said an opiate themed movie.( it's the former;))

Cheers

Panic in Needle Park is a classic and fits your question quite accurately. Drugstore Cowboy is dope too (no pun intended), love the IV hydromorph scene in the car when he explains the rush.

Trainspotting is by far my favorite of any heroin-centered films. Heroin is more of a human/selfish-relationship as well as a hellish interpersonal battle. Some brutally honest depictions of the disease of heroin addiction.

By the way guys I watched Candy the other day and it was so good! It was actually a perfect movie based on the threads description, so cool! I've got most of the rest of the mentioned downloaded and ready to go. I shall watch them all and then pick my favorite as well.

Just because nobody mentioned it yet, should mention the basketball diaries. Great book and movie. Its always great seeing a young Leo and Marky Mark as dope addicts.

Are most of these movies depicting opiate users negatively? It's always so hard to find ones where they don't end badly and that opiates (or other drugs) don't ruin everything. Need some happy drug movies lol
