Best edible solvent for synthetic cannabinoids

A while back I made some ( 2x48 ) chocolate buttons with am-2201 in one half and jwh-018 (I think). These were surprisingly nice for a few days until I had one that was obviously badly mixed in and unfeasibly stronger than I expected, sending me into a weird horrific paranoid adventure for several hours. I disposed of the chocolates and the chemicals in a moment of strangely familiar feelings of fear and panic.

But now, i feel a certain fond regret :)

So I recently tried to dissolve some UR-144 in some 90% alcohol, which left any reasonable sized crystalline lump completely undissolved at 100mg/100ml making it pretty useless as a mixing technique. The second lot I crushed to remove the crystals, and attempted to dissolve 50mg into 100mg of vegetable oil. There's still obvious lumps in the oil, although it did dissolve better. I'm not sure if this is due to the crushing or the oil.

So a few questions:
Is there any food suitable solvent that will dissolve synthetic cannabinoids better? Is the dissolving process just very slow? Does the solvent used depend on the cannabinoid?

I assume I could get it to dissolve in oil or alcohol by heating, but I assume then would I have to use the whole lot at once before it re-crystallized again? Note that I don't want to use acetone because I want to use this as an ingredient in foods without having to worry about evaporating off solvents!

mmm...as far as edible non-polar solvents go, your options are somewhat meager. I would order food-grade Propylethyleneglycol (PEG). It's pretty easy to find and dissolves compounds with a wide range of properties. I don't know off hand if it will survive the baking process if you decide to make edibles. Also, it won't evaporate off if you change your mind and decide to smoke the cannabinoid.

Well, I checked my vegetable oil / ur-144 mix a couple of days later, and lo and behold, it was all dissolved! I also discovered I'd only used 20mg of vegetable oil, which is a good reason to not mix potent chemcial concoctions having already ingested potent chemical conconctions...

My plan here wasn't to make (bake) edibles as I had somewhat of a disaster due to badly mixing am-2201 in chocolate, but to create something potent enough to drizzle over things unnoticably. I figure you could just bake a standard brownie or something and squirt a bit on top and not even notice, or better still, delicious fried chicken. Mmm, chicken.

I'm going to try again with the 90% alcohol and just leave it a good long while to see if that works too, because it'd be sortof fantastic to have assorted cannabinoid tinctures laying around, like a mini cocktail cabinet :D
 
Ethanol (Drinking Alcohol) is always an option. Use some really high proof vodka and use as you would with any other cannabutter mix and it should work great. And it will burn off when when cooked (actually it will evaporate not burn)
