Best drug for a really big test

You've got two threads going about the exact same topic. Please do not cross-post questions on Bluelight.

I'm going to merge this thread with the one you have going in EADD.

Bwahahaha
Ahh if someone takes that advice.. lol
When i was doing mine i found a small spliff a few hours before hand helped calm me but if you smoke too much the anxiety creeps on and you end up a flustered mess, id say low dose of GOOD phet would help, but keep the dose low as too much and you'll have trouble focusing on one task! im sure this advice has already been mentioned..

I don't really think drugs are a solution for any exams. If you don't even know whether amphetamine will overwhelm you or not, it's risky to take amphetamine. You might also then be sitting this exam with your nose full and being unable to focus on anything - that's instead of sharper mind etc. Besides it's going to make you feel quite anxious during these 6 hours so the last hour still won't be better.

I remember I was anxious before a test in speech and so I smoked some weed. I screwed it up, I would get much better score if I was sober.

A low dose opiate + low dose amphetamine + low dose benzodiazepine worked wonders for both learning and extracting knowledge.

There are some very useful posts already in this thread.

1.) Definitely have a nice sleep of ~8 hours prior to the exam.
2.) Eat a nice balanced breakfast that includes fruits (apples, as someone mentioned above) & protein.
3.) Avoid the use of cannabis and other 'psychedelics' for obvious reasons. (Cannabis may be an exception to the 'obvious reasons' variable, nonetheless I would not suggest using it prior to this exam. Save it for afterwards ;)
4.) If you decide to use a CNS stimulant, such as amphetamine, avoid caffeine.
5.) If you try something you have never tried beforehand, do a trial-run (as many have suggested above). Have a reasonable 'idea' of how the chemical(s) affect/are going to affect you in certain situations (e.g., dosing after eating certain foods, varying sleep patterns, etc.).

Question: How long do you have until the examination?

Jenkem. Roll up your exam paper and huff the J off the desk with it for epic lulz. Make sure you hoover it all up or the exam room will stink.... giveaway!

Seriously though, if you're not experienced with these things you'd be a dick to ingest them in the hope that they'll magic you through your exams. You might as well just do a bit more work and try to eat and sleep well in the week leading up to the exam.

With modafinil there seems to be an enormous gulf between generics and the 'real thing', far larger than with other pharms. I have learned to get on with the generic modafinil but it took about ten tries and needs to be well coordinated with food to work anything like right. You also need to be extremely mindful of its power to make you focus on something completely irrelevant to what you're meant to be doing. Believe me and the other posters on here who tell you that generic modafinil is as likely, possibly more likely, to give you a headache, a lack of focus and other irritating side effects rather than any improvement in mental performance.

Do you want to be resitting this exam again in a year thinking it would probably have gone OK if you hadn't taken those stupid pills which utterly clouded your thinking and made you count all the tiles on the ceiling 100,000 times instead of doing any work?

yeah, this.

If you are suffering tiredness half way through a 6 hour exam i think the first thing to look at is what you are eating before and during (assuming you get a lunch break). You want lots of carbohydrates and some sugar and nothing too heavy like bacon egg and chips. If you can take an isotonic energy drink into the exam with you then even better.
I think this is a safer option than taking drugs.

what the fuck is a 6 hour exam anyway, that sounds awful, you must be allowed food and drink in there, probably illegal not to allow you acess to food and drink over that time period

If you're not going to go down the drugs route and if allowed to eat during the exam I've always found that a humble apple is absolutely excellent for rapidly clearing, energising and re-focusing a tired or fogged brain...

Try telling that to Leah Betts.

Caffeine, Ginko and Vinpocetine (taken regularly for at least a week in advance), and Modafinil. Does wonders for performance without the distracting euphoria of stronger stims.
