I need smething really strong that will knock me out FAST! I have a short term depression problem everytime i move back up to my college address in which my mind races all night i can't sleep at all. Doctor gave me Klonopin once and it worked but made me so drowsy in the morning..
I just got prescribed 10 pills of .5 mg of xanax and one does nothing! I just swallowed another one and it is making me just a bit relaxed.. but still can't go to sleep..
Is there another benzo that is stronger, hits fast and short acting? Thanks!

Actually xanax is pretty well known for it;s strength, fast hitting, and short acting. .5mg is kinda weak. Maybe you should try Ambien.

Klonopin is one of the longer acting benzos, so that would explain the grogginess the next morning. Thumbs up to xanax or valium as they are easy to come by. GHB will knock you out fast, as will halcion or rophynol. Use the search engine.

Halcion. If youre somewhere other than the U.S., try to get Rohypnol. Midazolam is pretty good too. Rohypnol might give you a benzo hang-over too though.

2mg Xanax usually does a good job.
You could also try Librium.
Versed works nicely also.
Another route besides benzos...
Ambien as mentioned or Trazadone.

Hmmm whoever isnt suggesting Halcion probably hasnt tried halcion. Try to get some Halcion kid. You probably won't remember my advice after you take it.

Is versed available in pill form? For some reason I was under the impression it was only injectable.

If you're not against this kind of "abuse," try mixing the Xanax with alcohol. (Not enough to get drunk, but I don't know your tolerance.) That'll chill you out.
I'd recommend Ambien as well, but for short-term sleeping problems, you might just want to try OTC sleep aids -- crush them up and double the dose -- they should knock you out, and I haven't had any hangover problems even with large doses. I have used the one that is sold as Sominex (also in Tylenol PM and Simply Sleep), but you can get it cheaper as Benedryl. That's easier than seeing the doctor repeatedly as long as you know it's a short-term problem and don't get accustumed to using that stuff in order to sleep.

I haven't ever tried valium, so I can't support or deny others recommending it.
I have the SAME problem though as you...klonopin makes me feel so groggy the next day but xanax doesn't do shit (I have to take 3-4 to get anywhere).
Try ativan (lorazepam). I've only tried it a couple times, but it worked really well and helped my anxiety (I took it for an anxiety attack) better than anything else. It didn't leave me feeling drowsy the next day either, or give me a headache like some benzos do. Plus, ativan dissolves underneath your tongue and start working in less than 10 minutes! Klonopin can takes like TWO HOURS to work, in my experience...
So yeah, ask your doctor about ativan.

Day_for_night is right, Halcion isn't perscribed all that much anymore but if your doctor is willing to give you Klonopin and Xanax, and if they aren't working,I'm sure he would go for Halcion! It didn't work for me. I was taking .5mg of Halcion at bedtime! After trying A TON of differnt sleep medications My doctor and I finally found one that works like a charm. I now take 1,000mg of Chloral Hydrate, but good luck finding a pharmacy that can get it! The Pharmacist said that he hadn't seen a script for it since 1980! I personally recomend taking 2.5mg of Xanax on an empty stomach, that should make you sleep! Good LuCK MIKe

I can't take any prescription sleeping pills, because for some reason they make me hallucinate without knocking me out.. I hate that..
Is Halicon a benzo or sleeping aid?

OTC sleeping pills does nothing but makes me tired.. My mind races a lot, that is why I can't sleep. I've tired precription sleeping pills too- ambien and sonata.

It is available in pill form but only in europe. The brand name for these pills is Dormicum and it comes in strengths of 7.5mg and 15mg. The active ingredient is midazolam.
One 15mg Dormicum tab kicks the shit out of 0.25mg Halcion tab.
While triazolam is the strongest benzo available the dosing in Halcion tablets is quite fucked up. 0.25mg is just too low.
