Best benzo for social anxiety disorder?

not trying to hijack or whatever but has anyone tried phenazepam for social anxiety?

Klonopin, Xanax & Halcion are actually the most potent benzodiazepines according to dosage charts.

For social anxiety disorder I think that Clonazepam is the most helpful. Lasts nearly all day, provides great anxiety relief but isn't very sedating, which is an advantage in social situations.

For panic attacks Xanax is by far the most useful. If taken only as-needed then you can prevent having to take it daily.

Valium is good for generalized anxiety but I think that it is inferior to Clonazepam because its much more sedating and hypnotic. Its best to be as clear-headed as possible when preventing daily anxiety. However some may find the anti-anxiety effects outweigh this problem.

clonaz probably best, valium being second choice, not xanax at all, you will need to keep topping up eventually leading to withdrawals inbetween doses

Benzos are useful for generalized anxiety and especially panic attacks, but practically useless for social anxiety. Social anxiety is pretty much a 24/7 disorder though so if you MUST take a benzo, longer-lasting is better (clonazepam probably being ideal.)

But seek out a different med as well at least, I promise you that benzos are not going to rid you of your SA problems. I know it has "anxiety" in the name but the disorder is so much more than that. Benzos aren't going to do a damn thing for learned avoidance behavior, for example.
