Hey fam I need help… again… So 1 month ago I relapsed on oxy. It’s been on and off but more on then off. In the last 7 days it’s been 5 days off then minor withdrawals got the best of me so I took .75mg buprenorphine (subutex) that was wayyy to strong (needed to take Valium with it and I was high) could’ve done .25 … I then waited till yesterday and really hurt myself training so i picked back up oxy thinking it wouldn’t really work but it did. Now I’ve done 15mg yesterday and 15 today (little less actually). I need to go on a sub Matinence or at least utilize them until I’m not all fucked but because the soreness plus the withdrawal is unbelievable. Any advice on how I can utilize the Bernese method? Or how long I need to wait to take some buprenorphine? Should I just stay on the oxy until I’m not completely bedridden from going to hard in the gym and then go on subs? Idk just ideas please lmk!!!

Peace n Love

So the half life of instant release oxy is 3 to 5 hours, 5 times the half’s life of a substance removes it from your system.. your good to go for sure after 25 hours coming off oxy.

I guess your physical dependence time numbers aren’t making sense. Do you think you may be experiencing hyper-analgesia due to opiate use and the effects of over working out?

Why do you need bernese method with such dose of oxy?
just wait 24h and start bupe
also Bupe is very strong and wd lasts forever, think about it

Hi.. why did you add on the valium?
Because subs give me ridiculous anxiety almost like amphetamine or caffeine. And I take benzos 4-7 times a week for 5+ years. Also lunesta every night.

I was in the clear held me over for 2-3 days then had to take more (.25mg ish) which held me over for another 2 days. The reason for Bernese method was to avoid precipitated withdrawl. I’m not a doctor but I like to air on the side of caution. Had to go back on oxy the subs were hulking me and taking hydroxazine before regular opiates makes them so much better. Could I utilize antihistamine with the bupe?

Because I didn’t want to go into withdrawal but also didn’t want to go into precipitated withdrawl. I know I cold turkey’s 16mg subutex and 15mg diazepam simultaneously a few years back. 45 days of acute wds

Just to clarify for others this length of acute withdrawal is completely accurate but it is caused by the benzodiazepine withdrawal. After over twenty years of sustained Xanax dependency I jumped oxy, methadone and alprazolam within a week of each other. I was in acute benzo withdrawal for a year and a quarter. Initially I concluded it was because of the methadone. It was actually because of the benzos, Not as much was known about the extremely long acute withdrawal time periods from benzos and it was widely thought that once a patient went onto methadone treatment that it was a medication they were forced to take for life as it was at that time deemed impossible to get off.

Now we are well into 2025 and know much better.

With that said there is no easy path out of physical dependence and certainly no easy way out of addiction. We pay the piper on physical dependence and we are out.. everybody pays. if we don’t want to either pay over and over or worse fall to it we need to actively treat any psychological addictions.
