Stimulants benzos to counter ampthetamine overdose?

I'm wondering if someones overdosing on ampthetamines or cocaine or anything simalar if you could stop it by giving them benzos, since they slow your body down. I've got limited hookups so it'll be hard finding more than xanex, would it be strong enough? also since they're ODing and need help like immedietly if they should snort the xanex(or possibly other benzo) so it'll kick in fast, and if so are they're any common benzos that you cant snort? Is there a better method of doing the xanex than snorting for this possible situation? And if benzos wont work here, is there anything else that will? thanks.

EDIT: someone i know isn't overdosing now, or wasn't when i originally posted this. I would call an ambulance first if they were in risk of dying of course, but i just wanted to know this for the future. I'm gonna start keeping some benzos around whenever im with anyone on ampthetamines. thanks.

EDIT: 1 more question. if someone was ODing, how should i give them the benzos(IV,snort,oral,etc.) and how much should i give them? I don't have constant access to most pills, i just get a random opportunity to buy some here and there, so can you say the dosage for all common benzos? thanks.

This should certainly calm someone down regardless.
Diminishing anxiety could be very helpful in the long run for someone freaking out on a high dose of meth, however if anxiety isn't the problem I'd say ride it out. I guess.

Or better yet, smoke some weed.

It depends how bad the overdose is - if its "oh shit that was a little too much but I think Ill be ok" situation - administer some benzos for sure. If its a "OMG ITS FEELS LIKE IM DYING" situation or someone is unresponsive etc - Call an ambulance FIRST. I guess in that situation there is probably no harm in giving them benzos - can anyone clarify??

People who are wigging out on stims and come to the ER always get heavily sedated on benzos.

I'd encourage anyone who is ODing on meth or even is so tweaked on it they're acting irrational to take benzos.

This is correct. During my days of heavy dextroamphetamine abuse (300mgs a day), I found that a 2-4 mg dose of Ativan helped the peripheral sides so common with Adderall
