Sorry but i searching and cant find an answer to my Qs.

how much using of benzos is too much. I have had very infrequent use over the last 2 yrs, for the last 4 months this has increased as my PTSD and then grieving through me into bad panicks and insomnia, benzos and oxys really helped. am done with the oxys but still using a variety of benzos, mostly vals, not every day but 4 5 times a week. most 2mg or 5mg, but can be 20 when things bad.
Have a script for zopiclone but I beleive that is related. feel like addiction approaching.
What to do. can I just stop for a few days and see what happens?

Will the Zopiclone make things worse?
Anything else pharm or natural that will help?

Benzos are most beneficial when used on an as needed basis, like you have been doing. Your valium doses have been rather low as well. Personally, I can take benzos daily for 3 weeks or so and stop and be fine. Longer than that and I will start to feel minor withdrawal. I have had a crazy relationship with benzos over the years. Quitting a 1.5 year daily xanax habit was hell.

Zopiclone is a z-drug. While not a benzo, it is similiar and has a slight cross tolerance to benzos.

I think you will be ok if you continue to use than as needed, at the low doses you described. Anxiety is tough, I have been struggling with it, along with PTSD for years now.

Thank you so much I feel reasured. They have certainly got me thro avery difficult patch, where as the mirtazapine anti depressant sent me loopy and still depressed.
I am going to try to take a break from them and just use low dose Zopiclone for a while. I have read horror stories about siezures and bad withdrawals.
I have some temazepam which i have used before recreationally and they are nice for that. I hope by the summer to be back to being able to enjoy the occasional high from drugs and not just needing them to cope with the crap that life throws us every now and then. The PTSD is trggerd by the autumn when the trauma happend but usually lifts after a couple of months Although this year was the first year I needed any meds apart from the occasional zopiclone script. I also thought to try melatonin for sleep.
best wishes, b
