Benzos Benzos for amphetamine comedown?

Hi-

So this morning i took 90 mg of Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) and and currently on the comedown. I have taken Vyvanse/Adderall/Ritalin many times before and everytime i start coming down i tell myself im never going to touch amphetamines again because i hate the comedown so much. Today, however, i have access to Xanax (Alprazolam), Klonopin (Clonazepan), Valium (Diazepam), as well as Benadryll (Diphenhydramine), and a bit of marijuana.

I have never tried any benzos before, never even been prescribed one. I have heard that benzos will make you feel much better on any comedown, and will knock you out (which would be perfectly ok as i have to work tomorrow). Would it be alright to take them for the first time to help with a comedown?

Also what would be an ideal dose of Alprazolam/Clonazepan/Diazepam to take for a comedown/first time.

Would i be better off just taking some Diphenhydramine and smoking some weed, then going to lay down in bed?

Any help is appreciated, and sorry for all of the questions, but i am kinda a benzo noob

Besides the pure fact that it resolves the problems of recreational stimulant use so good,
it makes it damn more addicting. Which you prob read and heard before.

Yes they will work wonders you are blessed with such an arsenal to chose from.
I have used alprazolam and diazepam for the same purpose and the former seems eassier to dose because its faster acting (less day after effects!).
Normally 0.25 to 0.5 mg (sublingual for faster action) was sufficient ymmv.
Diazepam is trickier as it takes a very long time to come up and lasts all next day too, which seems unwanted when one has obligations like work. Somehow seemed mellower then alprazolam.


With your tolerance 0, you could probably get away with 0.25 alprazolam lie down and sleep like a log.

Yes it would be fine. Start small since you've never taken a benzo:

Alprazolam- 0.25-0.5mg
Clonazepam- 0.5-1mg
Diazepam- 5-10mg

If you are intent on trying benzos, I'd hold off on the diphenhydramine and maybe the weed too, although the latter you will probably want to indulge in at some point. And you're best off picking one of the three you mentioned- I'd recommend alprazolam since it is short acting. The other two have very long half lives, especially diazepam, and can result in hangover type effects over the next day or two. But you might read about each and then make a decision.

Sorry for bumping an old thread -- was just wondering if combine 1mg of alprazolam (xanax) with some cannabis would induce sleep or cause a total black-out. I was thinking about trying this tonight for my amphetamine comedown, but dont wanna black out completely. only have 1mg of alprazolam (xanax) left and would like to fall asleep for sure.

I do not believe 1 milligram of Alprazolam w/ cannabis would cause a total black out. Sleep induction itself would be hard, according to empirical facts from many sources.
