i think the whole ceiling dose behind codeine is bullshit. literally a pile of steaming dog shit.
when i took 1000mg of codeine, i had my head blown off. when i took 300mg it did nothing. or am i simply a placebo buying fool? i dont think so.......... BUT i do believe there is a certain point of codeine use where the side-effects become much more apparant and irritating around 300+mg the side effects would start to outweigh the positive and i'd have to take a load of other drugs with it to counteract them

also i'm pretty much certain theres no ceiling dose with benzos much again it will simply cause a spiral of side effects to get worse and worse - you'd probably blackout before you could take so much.... the effects will get greater and greater

No, there's no ceiling dose. Unless you count blacking out and losing your memory part of the ceiling.

Anyway, I know it's OT, but regarding the codeine, I believe a large amount of that is the rapid tolerance buildup upon dosing due to the metabolites and their purposes. Similar to how NBOMe compounds can't be re-dosed properly (500ug, followed by 500ug an hour later will NOT be the same as 1mg to start).

I'm sorry Pete, you've edited your post (not sure why) but you did mention a ceiling dose for Codeine before. I'd looked on the net and there was no info for ceiling doses for Benzos and there was at all so I checked here and on tinterweb for ceiling dose in general and specifically for Codeine as there was a thread on BL about that which suggested the whole idea was BS.
Next time I'll leave you to do you own research mate.
