Benzos Benzos and Depression..??

^^yeah, that infrequent dosing wouldnt cause problems at all imo...im talking about someone that uses the majority of the time...small dosages..from what im reading overall, benzo use just seems like bad news BUT can also be life-saving for people with anxiety problems..again, it seems to be a give and take situation...

QFT! I have a love/hate with the damn things. Once I break this dependence I'd really like to medicate with tramadol. You would think being unscheduled doctors would throw them at you but this hasn't been my case.

Unfortunately, tramadol were recently made Schedule IV in my state, and are in many others, and the DEA considering scheduling them nationwide.

But in my experience, doctors have thrown them at me/other people I know, but that is probably changing as the so called "abuse potential" is realized. A damn shame, but it will just turn people to loperamide, which is actually far better for WD, having more prototypical opioid effects.

Random question: Does anyone else have better luck with PA's? They're pretty nice to me/ people IRL.

I also take Klonopin and have been feeling depressed lately, but I also take an SSRI.

However, I've had some depression for a long time so I can't say for sure that the Klonopin caused it.

I'm not sure about the quote, benzos: "can and will cause, and exacerbate depression"

Isn't that a bit bold??

The "can" part is fine, but to say that for all people prescribed daily benzos that they will eventually experience depression directly from them...I find that hard to believe.

Tramadol is a great med for depression.......it definitely should be prescribed over the garbage they like to prescribe for depression.

That's a shame what else are people supposed to get before moving up to harder opioids? I've been on pregabalin for 1.5 years and been prescribed temazepam for almost 2.5 years and daily for over a year so getting higher schedule meds isn't a problem yet I still can't get them to write me tramadol. lol

I've been taking them therapeutically for over a year and recently had to quit. I've since noticed bouts of mind numbing depression. I'm not sure if my anxiety is intensified because of withdrawal or lack of Xanax....but it sucks either way.

youve noticed mind-numbing depression since stopping xanax or while you were taking xanax?as for benzo withdrawals, ive basically heard of every nasty feeling you can imagine being mentioned during this process..panic attacks, agoraphobia, crippling depression, foggy mind etc etc..
