benzodiazepines vs barbiturates

from what i know both are CNS depressants...both produce a certain level of sedation and relaxation but is there something which makes one preferentially better than the other??

It depends on the Benzo or Barb. You are talking about.
I have a really nice, lengthy report written on barbituates, but I can't find the damn disk I saved it on. I'll post it when I find it.
I personally prefer Benzo's, although the high doesn't last as long.
Oh, and GC, stay away from Phenobarbital! It's useless for recreation, and it's "effects" last for up to 16 hours! OD is a very real possibility, esp. when combined with alcohol.
Fiorcet should be pretty easy to get, start with that.

umm luminal? isnt that the stuff the cops spray on areas where they think is blood and if the blood was washed or cleaned it still shows under flurencent (sp?) light

Barbs can result in much more severe physical dependence than benzos, which is probably a major factor in the medical preference for benzos.

Barbs are much more fun, but a helluva lot harder to get... also, what do you mean about going to a vet pharmacy and pickingup some shit? Be it for animal or human, its still a controlled substance...
