HI ya folks i need a little info please i take diazepam 10mgs twice a day and use dihydrocodeine at times recreationaly with my valium. My question is i am thinking of trying something different its been a while since ive smoked weed recreationaly a few tooks on a spliff now un then thats about it!!. But it does bring out anxiety and slight paranoia at times my question is can i take a dose of diazepam before a session on the weed to eliminate the anxiety and slight paranoia that weed gives me from time 2 time.If thats the case what dose would you say would help!! and should i take it about half a hour before a session thanks in advance folks. My tolerance to benzos is about 30 mgs at the highest ive been on them four seven years mainly diazepam but really only ever taken 5-10 mgs a time twice a day:\

Yes, it will definitely help with the anxiety and paranoia. If your tolerance isn't that big then just take 10 mg of diazepam about 30 minutes before you smoke the weed. If you feel any anxiety, paranoia or any other unwanted effects take another 10 mg and that should definitely do it.

I'm unclear as to why you wouldn't consume 10mg. diazepam before you smoke cannabis. You're prescribed diazepam 10mg. twice a day; dexterously, change your diazepam intake schedule to correspond with your recreational cannabis use. Talk to your doctor about any changes you'd like to make with benzodiazepine therapy, especially about your dosing schedule and any progress that you've had with your prescribed benzodiazepine.

Benzodiazepines, due to their anixiolytic effect, are commonly consumed before cannabis, and cause no drug interactions with cannabis. I believe, that especially with your benzodiazepine tolerance, that 10mg. diazepam consumed before cannabis is not only safe, but I would recommend it.

It may be ameliorate for you to not mention cannabis consumption to your doctor unless prompted by him or her.

The denouement of your question is that the best course of action is to simply take the diazepam as prescribed by your doctor, but change your diazepam intake schedule to accommodate the consumption of cannabis.
