I was thinking about an easy way to lay some benzodiazepine powders on pieces of paper, and had an idea about how to do so very easily. You can use any kind of paper, (well keep it reasonable, not all papers are meant to be consumed, just look into the paper you use and make sure its non got something toxic in it or something like that).

All it requires is a milligram scale, a sealable glass vial (i used 5ml of a 7.5ml clear PolyP pop top vial), said benzodiazepine powder, dry ethanol or denatured if it evaps clean, and some paper.

You take your ethanol, measure out an amount (idk it has to be exact really, as we'll just be using its weight instead of volume when doing the math), weight that vial on a mg scale to get a (most likely) multi gram amount, lets say 5.168g as a random example.

Then you take your benzodiazepine powder, add a known amount, lets say 50mg as a random example.

Now, dip your paper into the solution, always keeping the vial closed as often as possible (to prevent weight drift due to evaporation of the etoh). Let the paper dry, and weigh the solution again.

Lets say its (just as a random example, and so the math is easier) 52 mg lighter.

So you take your total weight of the solvent (etoh+powder), and divide it by the weight difference after the dip. You get 99.4, lets call it 100.

That means the paper absorbed 1/100th of your solvent+powder solution. You know you have 50mg in this solution, so this means you have .5mg dose on the paper.

Any thing i'm missing here that would make this not work as i think it would? It seems like it would be a very accurate way to volumetrically dose, rather than using a syringe and going by volume, or drips from a glass dropper.

My intention is to lay single blotters at a time, let them dry, and consume as needed sublingually wihout using PG which makes the benzodaizepine taste much worse. It won't stay under your tounge or be easy to wash down like paper tabs would.

i would like to know about any simple method of making tabs from small amounts of powder, but this is the first link i found. So how are blotters made, where is the special paper obtained?
