So I'm withdrawing from Ativan at the moment. Fortunately, I don't seem to have any very prominent symptoms....except one. I'm experiencing vertigo like a motherfucker. Everywhere I go, I feel like I'm on a boat and it shaking violently. It feels like huge waves and it's just awful. I tried taking a shower, didn't help. I tried some hot tea, again didn't help. And since the motion sickness was making me nauseous, I decided to take 50 MG's of Dimenhydrinate...big mistake.
The dimenhydrinate made the dizziness 5X's worse. I really should have fucking known better. Dimenhydrinate contains a derivative of Caffeine that antagonizes Adensoine receptors. Adenosine causes immense downstream release of GABA and since I'm withdrawing from benzo's that means my GABA receptors in my brain are especially desensitized at the moment. Obviously Dimenhydrinate would make me even more dizzy. Fuck me!
Anyways, does anyone know how I can get rid of this dizziness? Also, the dizziness seems to be causing pretty bad derealization at the moment as well, does anyone know any home remedies for that?
Thanks guys, all help is appreciated...
