i know this stuff is ruining my brain to absolute smitherines & the paradox effect etc & worse than any other drug but there has 2 be some way of lowering tolerance? I need a big jab of gaba injected into me my brain is deedeedeedeedeestroying

anyone? As far as reducing tolerance goes. Dxm seems likely. Cimetidine helps extend the time they leave ur system. There has 2 be something to reduce tolerance

Taper down. That's really the only way to lower tolerance.

DXM doesn't lower your tolerance, it just helps reduce some of the withdrawal symptoms. It becomes useless after awhile though and actually starts adding more issues.

Acutally there are studies that shows that NMDA antagonist lower tolerance of pretty much any drug. Though the best way to reduce tolerance is to lower your doses or stop using to a while.

I was one of the people who contributed the most about benzos in that thread.

The fact of the matter is that I managed to get down from 60mg of Valium to 20mg relatively quickly but I had also JUST switched to Valium from Klonopin when I did that taper and it appears that I am far less sensitive to Klonopin than I am to Valium.

NMDA antagonism does little for the withdrawal of benzodiazepines. It helps avoid seizures and a number of the other physical side effects but the psychological side effects are still very present so it isn't a total solution as its usually the psychological withdrawal that prevents successful cessation.

Their beneficial effects slowly get replaced with added side effects as I discovered on my taper with Delsym and Valium this time around (and I actually have been keeping a log of my doses and such so I know for sure what I've been taking and what I haven't) - I stopped taking the cough syrup entirely 3 days ago and I feel better than I did when I was on it.

Now I've heard of people pretty much staying in a K hole for a week to come off of Xanax but it isn't practical for most people and could very easily trade Xanax for K (I've seen it).

other then the fact that benzos seemed to amplify the effects of mxe, I never noticed a lowering in benzo tolerance, and there was a solid month or two where I abused both drugs concurrently. In fact in that month both drugs required a typical increase in dosage as to be expected from daily abuse of both.

As far as I know the only generally accepted way is to taper off and remain clean for a long time. There are also some studies suggesting that Flumazenil can reduce tolerance much faster than just staying clean.
