Benzo Tolerance Reduction

I used Valium heavily for a two week period 2 months ago. Stopped for said two months. And now picked up again since last Tuesday.

2mg Xanax + 10mg Valium doesn't do anything for me anymore. Not like it used to.

I can quit cold turkey very easily, I have many times.

But I was just wondering, how long (I understand it can be at least a month) until my tolerance is significantly lowered?

Also would DXM help? And if so, at what doses?

Or any other tricks/techniques would help greatly.

Thanks.

Also... I read DXM is best used to lower benzo tolerance when used in combination as opposed to DXM alone on days where no benzos are taken. Is this true?

I'm also surprised I haven't got a reply yet, haha... I've done a search and no other threads matched what I'm looking for. So I hope someone can help.

Not sure about DXM reducing tolerance, i've only ever heard anecdotal evidence. Most benzo tolerance should be gone after 2 months, though there is always gonna be some small residual tolerance that's gonna be about for a lot longer, though usually this is only noticeable as future short-term tolerance increasing rapidly on use of the drug. And of course, if it was your first time using benzos in that period two months ago, it is unlikely that you'll ever get the same feeling as you did the first time you used it.

While I can not comment about DXM, I can tell you that Benzo Tolerance is much like Alcohol tolerance and that is that you will never have the same high you had the first time you used them and while you were not on them for a long period of time, you built up a quick tolerance to them, and that tolerance rarely goes away. Meaning that while have been clean from it for a while, it will only take a few more runs with the drug before your tolerance is right back to where it was. It almost never goes away for good. Sad but true. It's just how the brain works when it comes to this kind of drug.

Hm. Thanks for the info.

I definitely know DXM potentiates the hell out of benzos, from experience, so I suppose if tolerance were to be extremely bad I'll just have a little DXM prior.
