i take 1mg clonazapam (clonapin) daily by prescription..i've long since lost the wonderful feeling i get from benzos, and i hate that i can't feel the pill anymore. Ive gone a week or more without it in hopes of lowering my tolerance, but when i take it again i still feel nothing. even taking more than one gets me nowhere. does anyone have any suggestions on how i could lower my tolerance? thanks
also this exact same situation is happening with rhisperdal...
peace

Good luck. Benzo tolerance is so frustrating. Just recently I went almost 45 days with nothing....no drugs at all, incuding benzos. One of my motivators for doing this was the fact that I could get high on Kpins anymore, the other was the favct that I had to take a drug test 3 dasys a week.
Anyway, my 45 was up I immediately went for the bottle. I was sure I'd get all nice off of 4mg. It didnt happen. It was like I never even took a break. I had to to take 8mg or so of clonazepam and ended up throwin in 24mg of bromazepam just to get a little something.
If you wanna get your tolerance down, all you can do is give it time....lots of it. Months it seems.
Even though I love klonopin, I;m gonna switch over to xanax. There'sll definately be some cross tolerance issues but I'm confident a few mg of xanax will do something for me. Till I get those, I'll haveto continue to eat handfuls of kpins and bromos.

welcome to benzo hell.
i'm on 4mgs of klonopin right now and nothing.
i just switched from ativan 4 1/2 milligrams of that and nothing, 6mgs nothing, 10mgs nothing , so i switched to klonopin and no benzo buzz.
maybe try taking .5 mgs for awhile then go back up to 1mg and see if that helps, but i doubt it.
it truly is hell, stop it while you still can, but if you must, you can increase your dose and get the relief but it's merely transitory, and you're playing with the fires of hell. and you will get burnt. but i understand. temptation is strong. because i'm almost positive if your body is in need of 1mg , if you increase it to 2mgs you'll get the relief. but then that will stop so then 3mgs, then the relief will stop sooner then 4mgs and that will be good for a little while. but eventually you'll be where i'm at, no benzo buzz because they fade, and you have to just take them as prescribed to help anxiety and panic attacks, which they'll do but alas, no beautiful benzo relief.
