I was taking Clonopin and Cymbalta for eight years, stopped them cold turkey in July 2014 due to pregnancy although I took klonopin as needed .25 a few times during. I had no withdrawals. After baby this last April my doctor put me on cymbalta 30 mg and klonopin as needed. Rt after the cymbalta got started I got intensely sick had major panic attacks, and manic feeling so I had to stop it. A week later I got weird symptoms like : panic attacks, increased anxiety, brain fog, constant dizziness, blurred vision ect. I took the klonopin and it wasn't helping and I refuse to take a higher dose. Is this postpartum anxiety or is this withdrawals from only 4 days of cymbalta or klonopin? Any insight would be great! I've been to several doctors and all my blood work comes back normal and my ekg. So worried about if this will go away as it's been a month.

Sorry to say it, but though you were using Clonazepam for 8 years (regardless of dosage) it was constantly being put into your system. Also known as, building a tolerance or gaining/becoming tolerant to certain dosages of this medication. After 8 years of use, even though the prescribed amount was low, it still gained the potential to become dangerous when stopping this medication. I dont know why the first time around you had no withdrawal effect, but with the second being a horrible experience I will tell you that you most definitely are going through acute withdrawal systems that may even evolve into chronic, whereas your systems are more advanced and will need to have close monitoring of your vitals daily to insure you are stopping this medication correctly after the daily use for years. Im happy that it is not alprazolam (xanax) that you are finished taking, because let me tell you. . . this withdrawal was worse than a heroin kick, and you could understand by how hard it is to quit opiate abuse once you hit your withdrawal symptoms. I was taking 10-20mg of alprazolam per day, and it really kicked my ass compared to my even heavier opiate abuse withdrawal effects.

I only took klonopin 5 times when this started. My doc says it's NOT withdrawals 100% and its postpartum
