More specific information would help but...

Hey i am wondering how fast someone is addicted to benzodiazepines?

What is the safe zone? Is it safe to take benzo's 3-4 days in a row and then stop for a week?

You do not mention what you are taking or how much or why.

The answers you have received should tell you that many people have had some pretty miserable experiences with them however which I doubt you want to have yourself.

It is likely that the Benzo's are not going to be interested in following your schedule to abuse them while at the same time avoiding addiction.

Like most drugs you will end up needing to take more and more to get the same effect which is going to lead to addiction right there.

I am NOT a typical example. I have been prescribed Benzos for many years for anxiety attacks and sleep and I do like them because they act fast, do what they are meant to do and last a relatively short amount of time. But I don't use them for recreation.

It is interesting to note that out of all the hundreds of Medicare part D prescription drug plans that include just about every drug on the planet, for some reason NONE of them cover Benzodiazepines.

Some general things to know are:

Alcohol will intensify the effects and can lead to extreme drowsiness, depressed breathing and death. Mixing the two is a very common way people use to commit suicide.

If you are used to taking benzo's for sleep it will quickly become difficult to sleep without taking them.

If you get in to the habit of taking Benzo's and suddenly stop this can cause seizures.

Benzo's often interact with other medications.

In a way it is good that you are thinking about the addiction potential. It is pretty easy to become physically addicted to them, especially because of the sleep, if it comes to the point where you are having difficulty sleeping then you are going to take them.

That's my two cents anyway.
