I've been of subs for 15 days now, I've gone thru all the nasty physical WD's, so now I'm better but feel very blah. If I were to take some sub today would I be back to square 1 again?

Welcome patty! :) New Member Introductions is a forum to make an introduction to the rest of the board rather than ask drug related questions such as this as there are many other forums that serve that purpose. With that said, I'm going to move your post over to Other Drugs so you can get some input on this. You're welcome to come back to NMI and post an intro thread.

All the best. <3

if you already got off suboxone, i;d recommend waiting 1-2months to see how things go. you already got through the worst, dont make yourself go through it again if you dont need to! make sure to enrich your life with daily hobbies/activities and fill up all your free time s oyou wont get urges

i say 1-2 months because see how you feel without it, if you slip back into old opiate paterns, then definitely go back on sub, but if you can make it without, it is much better for your brain, body, ect..!!!

good luck man, stay strong!!

Hey, welcome to bl. I just got through the same situation a while back. I made a similar thread, here it is http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/threads/...boxone-withdrawal-feeling-terrrible-need-help

Short answer. No, don't take anymore sub. It will make you feel normal but only for a day or 2 and then you will be back where you are now (which can easily lead to starting back on it again). How long were you taking it and what dose?

I have recently been going through the same thing as you have.
In my opinion, *no*, it won't take you back to day 1. BUT, it will cut back on a lot of the progress you've made. If anything, you'll only extend/resummon some of the withdrawal symptoms that occur directly after the acute withdrawal phase.
When I did that I did not experience severe withdrawals again. But I was pissed at myself because I seemed to elongate some of the withdrawal phase that seems to take *soo* long with suboxone. IE the yawny, watery eyes and fatigue. Take it from me: don't do it. Keep it up man. Each day you get closer to returning your body to a state of homeostasis.

Well, IME no, but if you take it again within even a week, you will definitely risk throwing yourself back into W/D. Ultimately, it's just not worth it. That being said, if its sub or your DOC, go with the sub for sure.

Exactly.. If you feel yourself headed for a relapse, the sub is definitely the lesser of two evils. Just remember how much of a bitch that shit is to kick if you stay on it long enough... I'm a strong detester of long term sub maintenance because I know first hand how hard that shit is to come off when you've been on it so long. Short term tapers are the way to go with bupe. The shorter the better. It's some powerful shit that will get you good and strung to the gills. (something the doctors failed to mention or straight out deny even to this day)

do NOT take the sub..no one here can tell you how much it will set you back but one thing is for sure, it only provides temporary relief...this general 'blah' feeling is what i found horrible about methadone/opiod withdrawals..it took me months of this feeling, boredom, depression, fatigue etc etc to get thru it..tbh it still hits me at times and ive been away from opiates for years!
