Hi Bluelight... I'm 23, born and raised in Texas, and female... I've been to prison but not to college and currently I work at a mattress store! I like to read... Currently I'm reading Fire and Blood by George R.R. Martin.... I'm a smart-ass and bad at being responsible. My DOC is heroin and I use meth pretty frequently but I'd rather have an authentic Xanax bar than the trash people pass off as speed now. I kinda miss back when I was 15 or so-- The first time I did meth I shot it up and was up for 3 days before I realized I hadn't drank any water and that I was really, really thirsty but water tasted really, really gross. It's tame these days compared to that...Tomorrow I'm going to be starting Suboxone, or well really probably late tomorrow or the day after tomorrow bc I'm not even close to withdrawal at the moment. So hopefully I can find some people on here that have actually kicked heroin bc it seems impossible to me.

Hey imaginary, it's always awesome to hear about a lurker emerging from the shadows into the Bluelight %) welcome aboard...

That's awesome that you're starting subs tomorrow- getting control of your hobbit (ha, autocorrect :D) and habit Is really the key to getting a better quality of life. Worked for me, several times..

Check out the Recovery sections if you need any advice or have any wisdom to share, and you can always PM staff if you have any questions...

All the best <3

Greetings imaginary,

Yeah, meth isn't really all that potent any more, so it's a good call to call it quits. Having a job helps keep one busy and distracts one from their habit, so good job on that front as well. Ever since I became employed and saw all that money in my bank account it really showed me how hard work can pay off and to waste it on drugs would just be counterproductive.

Good to have you here - Welcome to Bluelight!
