It had been softly raining off and on for the past few hours, and it would soon be nightfall. The rain continued to fall...
The sun had not yet set. It hovered a breath above the horizon, and it was unblocked by clouds.
Dark clouds blanketed the sky to the east, and a burning light shone from the west.
This could mean only one thing...
I stepped outside of the building I was in to get a better look. As I gazed towards the west, towards the wall of gray, i saw light.
It arched across the entire sky it seemed. I was standing in a concrete field, and the sky was my vision.
The vibrant colors sang a song of beauty in comparison to the monotonous drone of the gray clouds.
The small raindrops splashed against my skin. The wetness was warm and refreshing.
As I continued to watch, I could see an echo, and I felt content.
Clouds began to drift in front of the light of the sun, and slowly the rainbow began to fade into the gray around it. It was only there for a moment...
