Be careful with zolpidem

Last night I took 80mg of Zolpidem & created this thread asking about dosage after Id already taken them

I dont know where my creative msges came from but i thought i was actually replying to other ppls posts but i was actually talking to myself 8o
feel free to del this thread mods just wanna let ppl know im ok. i certainly didnt take 1000mg or anything nor did i take any benzos.
So be careful when dosing zolpidem. u'll be high & not even realize u are.


im surprized i dont have a hangover or i didnt break anything. i certainly will be taking only a couple if i take em in the future of better yet i'll just stick with codeine & the occational valium.
 
yeah dude...might wanna be a litttle more careful lol...10-20 mg's of my prescriped 10mg Zolpidem Tartarate or w/e will put me on my as i take it as directed pretty much every night and 10 mg does wonders as far as getting me to sleep.

I can't take zolpidem or any of it's derivatives for that very same reason.

Glad to hear you came out okay, but in the future you may be suited just to forgo abusing the hypnotics and take something else that's a little more recreational.

I've run into a few people who take them for sleep and don't experience the same rate of amnesia I do, guess I'm just one of the lucky ones. Useless drugs in my experience.

the last time i took 20mg ambien was with 200mgs tramadol, 30mgs oxycodone, 2mgs xanax, and alot of bong rips....i remember being really euphoric before the ambien and i wanted to get it back, so it was liek 2-3hours after i popped all that shit and someone called me and said they had ambien, i was like wtf and she said it was good, so i bought 50mgs and after i took 2i was chillen and then blacked out after about an hour, woke back up 4hours later just sitting in my computer chair, i dont know if i passed out in the chair and fell asleep or just had terrible amnesia but i couldnt remember shit!!! ambien isn't my favorite :/
 
i honestly don't know why anyone would take this shit as a recreational drug. Frankly I don't even know why it prescribed as a sleeping aid. Some people react really badly to it. There was an article I read somewhere about polic pulling over incoherent drivers in their pyjamas who decided to take a drive after their nightly ambien dose.

I take 5mg for sleeping aid, anything more than that and I start tripping. usually start feeling like my bed is swinging like a rocking chair lol
 
i suffered from suicidal depression because of long term (over a year) use of prescribed zolpidem tartrate. not being able to do more than plan my own death was all i was able to do for months.
a good psychiatrist figured it out in 15 minutes. he had seen the same from long term benzo and z drug use.
within 24 hours or so of non use i began to regain my old self.

watch out ! danger here !

My husband is a neurophysicist and he told me that Ambien binds to the same receptors as many benzos. It's no suprise that you would suffer the same problems as someone who uses benzos for long periods.

I came home with Ambien several years ago and told my husband that I finally had a sleep aid that was non-addictive. He looked at me like I was insane and informed me about Ambien really is.
 
Please don't create another thread to talk about the thread that was closed. Bluelight is well aware of the dangers of high dose Ambien experiences and how similar they are to high dose benzodiazepine experiences. If you would like to write a trip report about your experience, then do so in the Trip Reports section, Basic Drug Discussion isn't the place for this type of thread.
