What principle states that one ought not multiply entities beyond necessity?

), just a hypothetical unobservable object. The idea is that there could be a teapot orbiting the moon so that it is always obscured, and that we ought not to believe in it because we have no evidence... wait, didn't this thread used to be fun?
I do need to visit London sometime, as I say the missus is up there, but I... just... hate it... so... much. Although, I think that the prospect of doing 2C-B and wandering around a museum is pretty appealing.
