^I feel you man. The last time I did coke (besides today and the past two days) was probably 9 or 10 months ago. While it certainly is widely available, cost is indeed the biggest limiting factor. Plus when you take breaks, it means your tolerance goes down and it makes it just that much better.

I've always heard that it's good luck to use the largest denomination bill you have to snort your blow with...is that about right? ..I'm not big on coke myself..

I've always preferred sedating drugs and after I quit daily opioid use almost 2 years ago and basically quit smoking pot altogether as well, I tried coke and really didn't much care for it. It'd come around here and there and the first 10 or so times I tried it, friends offered some for free so I indulged but it didn't do a whole lot.

Then after using it a number of times and just not being impressed, I started to REALLY enjoy it (it also started to get much more fiendish though as well). Now I LOVE it and if I get that thought in my head that I want to pick some up, it's hard to get out. Like everything THAT addictive, you have to know your limits and be responsible but I find it very enjoyable now.

The 1000 peso bill is the largest one I have around right now. Although its pre-1993 (which is when Mexico changed their currency from the "Old Peso" to the "New Peso" so the bills' value is zero. However, it would be worth around $100USD if it was a bill from after 1993).

my dad has a couple of 1,000,000 notes framed on his wall, they are from some ex russian country, can't remember which one, is pretty cool looking at money that has six 0s on it though :D

so the bills' value is zero.

That's bullshit, man that sucks!

There are some 1,000,000 reichsbanknotes here at the house I'm staying at, they're from 1923, probably worth something I would assume. To collectors of course, nothing of monetary value.

^Yeah dude, Mexican currency is pretty interesting, but the exchange rate is very up and down and apparently a lot of places in Mexico also accept U.S. currency.

Here's the Wikipedia article about the 1993-1996 devaluation and change to the Mexican Peso, interesting reading nonetheless.

Actually with the effect NAFTA and other factors have had on the Mexican economy, even with the recent devaluation of the dollar, 1000 pesos is more like $86. You'd have to be closer to '93 for it to be worth $100.

When I was in Ciudad Juarez, pretty much everywhere accepted american currency however often they'd give you change in pesos which I didn't mind because it was useful for where I couldn't use american currency like vending machines and shit and it was an easy way to convert without paying a fee.

How accessible are illicit drugs in Alabama? I've always been spoiled by my proximity to Chicago so EVERYTHING is easily accessible and I've often wondered what the markets are like in other, less-urban/suburban places.

^I'm on cocaine!

I'm about to go to the bank and exchange these two 50 dollar bills to a 100 dollar bill so I can do my drugs and feel even more classy while I do them.

Also, drugs.

Edit: Mugzy, these 50's came crisp and fresh from the bank, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond is literally two blocks from the banking part of downtown where these bills were acquired, so unless the U.S. Mint is putting Hep. on the currency just to fuck with people who use their banknotes to snort drugs then I should be good. :)

I live in a suburb of the largest city, Birmingham, and any substance is readily available assuming you know the right people. And, believe it or not, there is "that" side of town where you can go and get whatever you want, and literally have dealers trying to wave you into their driveway and yelling at you saying "I got you man, pull in! pull in!" It took several years for me to establish legitimate/non-sketchy connects, but everything is here.

HR advice =D be careful snorting with notes, you can get hepatitis 8( not very likely unless you are sharing the note with someone else with Hep that is in the same room as you and got blood on the note.

Good call. It drives me crazy that in part of the 'coke culture' in my area, it's expected to pass around and share bills/straws and I've gotten shit for refusing which to me is ridiculous. I can respect certain drug norms that I find useless, but I won't follow those that could be harmful.

psycho - thanks for the reply. I figured there had to be some availability but I always wondered how it compared to places like where I'm from. I know what you mean about sketchiness... I've always been rather clean cut and so I stick out when I have to deal with the sketchier types and it leads to them distrusting me if not outright shorting me or lying because they think they can. It's nice knowing the more professional connects :)

Actually very accessible if you know where to look, especially in college towns like Tuscaloosa and Auburn. You can practically walk out to the quad between classes and score anything you need or want, from cocaine to molly to tar.

I think it's Zimbabwe's currency which goes through the roof: the average banknote is 1.000.000.000.000 zimbabwean's dollars.

Tar in 'bama, huh? Interesting. I suppose it makes sense given the proximity to Mexico but I always think of tar as more exclusive to the west coast.
