I skimmed this thread, and I am not familiar with that business, but have used similar businesses in the past. Basically, it sounds like things got into the hands of minors, and attention was brought to the place because minors were intoxicated at school on "legal highs". I am not surprised they got busted if that is the case. It sounds like they weren't careful enough with their disclaimers and determination not to sell to minors.
When you walk the thin line between illegal and legal (like our community often does, although most of the time people are squarely in the illegal realm), you have be very fucking careful and responsible. While the charges listed on the site will proabably change when the prosecutors realize some of them are stupid (unless they have credible info the guy was actually doing that, like selling isolated illegal chemicals like DMT/mescaline to an informant, in which case he is completely screwed no matter what), they will still have other, more reasonable charges that can be pursued.
A business like that can not sell to minors or allow things to get in the hands of minors, or too much attention will be brought to the substances, because people will be getting messed up on it. Kids live with their parents. Their parents or teachers get concerned and alert the authorities when they get messed up on something strange. This is why salvia is illegal in many states.
Why am I stressing "minors"? Because when you are not a minor, you usually move out, and when you get messed up, your parents don't see you and your teachers don't see you!
If media attention is brought to this case, it will probably lead to the explicit illegalization of several "legal" substances.
Sorry for being a pessimist, but this is how our society and government work. We know that, we've seen it happen many times before, and its not going to change anytime soon.
